Commissioner of Railway Safety/S.E.CIRCLE has conducted an inspection programme for the opening of newly constructed 3rd line between Narayangarh- Belda stations of Kharagpur division on 29.04.2024.
The work for the 12 km NYA-BLDA section, under the NYA-RNTL third line project was completed by the Construction Dept/ SER.
During the inspection program, all aspects of safety & passenger amenities, FOBs, LHS, and Bridges etc. were inspected in between the section and at the 03 enroute stations (Narayangarh, Bakhrabad & Belda).
The inspection program started from Narayangarh at 05.30 hrs. After trolley inspection, speed trial at 110 kmph was done in WAP loco from Belda to Narayangarh station. The inspection was conducted under the leadership of CRS/S.E. Circle Shri Brijesh Kumar Mishra. DRM/KGP, Shri K.R. Chaudhary along with other branch officers were also present during the inspection program.
The construction of the new 3rd line will help in the smooth movement of passenger and goods traffic in this very important South India bound route. Sectional speed of trains will also gradually increase in this section after commissioning of the 3rd line.
