ताम्रलिप्त होटल में आगजनी से नुकसान, कोई हताहत नहीं, घंटे भर मशक्कत से दमकल ने आग पर पाया काबू

खड़गपुर। राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग संख्या 6 के साहाचौक में स्थित ताम्रलिप्त होटल में सोमवार की दोपहर शार्ट सर्किट से आग लग गई जिससे लाखों का नुकसना होने का अनुमान है दमकल की मशक्कत से आग पर काबू पाया जा जबकि किसी के हताहत होने की कोई खबर नहीं है। पता चला है कि दोपहर 12 बजे लोगों ने होटल के पुराने भवन के नीचे तल्ले से आग व धुंआ देखो तो तुरंत दमकल को खबर दी गई झपाटापुर से दो दमकल घटनास्थल में पहुंची पर एक दमकल से ही घंटे भर की मशक्कत के बाद आग पर काबू पा लिया गया। सादतपुर पुलिस फांड़ी प्रभारी समर लायेक का कहना है कि शार्ट सर्किट के कारण आगजनी की घटना घटी। फायर ब्रिगेड के सेकेंड आफिसर देबज्योति माईति का कहना है कि आग पर तो घंटे भर में काबू पा लिया गया पर पूरी तरह अग्निशमन में शाम तक काम चला।

ताम्रलिप्त होटल जुड़े कर्मी काकली मित्रा का कहना है कि ग्राउंड फ्लोर में पंखे थे संभवतः वहीं से आग शार्ट सर्किट के कारण लगी धुंआ व आग की लपटें तीन तल्ले तक देखी गई फर्नीचर डल गए आर्थिक नुकसान का अनुमान लगाना बाकी है। ज्ञात हो कि होटल के नए भवन में लोग थे व पुरान भवन जहां आग लगी वहां स्कुल खोलने की तैयारी चल रही है जिसके कारण कोई हताहत नहीं हुआ अन्यथा बड़ा हादसा हो सकता था। पुलिस मामले की जांच में जुट गई है।

Fire was under control by the efforts of fire brigade while there was no report of any casualty. It is known that at 12 noon people saw the fire and smoke from the ground floor under the old building of the hotel, immediately the fire brigade was informed. Saadatpur TOP in-charge Samar Layek said that the incident of fire took place due to short circuit.

Fire Brigade’s second officer Debjyoti Maiti said that the fire was brought under control within an hour, but the firefighting work continued till evening. Kakali Mitra, an employee associated with Tamralipta Hotel, says that there were fans in the ground floor, possibly from there the smoke and flames broke out due to short circuit flames were seen up to 2nd floors, the furniture was buried, the economic loss is yet to be estimated. police is investigating the matter.
