                                                                   खड़गपुर,  किसी भी देश की भव्यता व शान को देखना हो तो वहां के शिक्षा, शोध साहित्य व अध्यात्म को देखे और उक्त मामले में हम दुनिया से ज्यादा समृद्ध रहे हैं। हमारे पास ज्ञान का अथाह सागर है हमें उसे खंगालने की जरुरत है व इसी से हम आगे बढ़ सकते हैं यह कहना है महामहोपाध्ययाय स्वामी भद्रेस दास का।

स्वामी भद्रेस दास बतौर मुख्य अतिथि अमेरिका के लांस एंजिल्स से आईआईटी के स्थापना दिवस समारोह  को वर्चुअल संबोधित करते हुए कहा कि हमारा भारत भव्य व शानदार है क्योंकि यहां ज्ञान, शोध, कला दर्शन, विज्ञान का भंडार है साहित्य सांस्कृतिक दृष्टि से संपन्न है व नए इनोवेशन, अध्यात्म हमारे यहां फले फूले। समानता, विविधता, समावेशी विकास, सहिष्णुता सम्मान व प्रेम के हम पुजारी है लिविंग आइडिअल्स का देश है भारत। इसलिए हमें इस पर गर्व करना चाहिए दास ने कहा कि शिक्षा, शोध, शास्त्र व अध्यात्म का गढ़ रहा है भारत भूमि। भारत ने विश्व को आर्गेनाइज्ड शिक्षा पद्धति दी है। वे बताते हैं कि आज से दस हजार साल पहले भारत में ही शिक्षा की बात हुई नारद ने सनद मुनि ने शिक्षा लेने की बात आज  से दस हजार साल पहले की तब मुनि ने नारद से कहा कि आप जितना जानते हैं वह बताइये तब उसके आगे की मैं पढ़ाऊंगा यह दर्शाता है कि हमारे पास शिक्षा व शिक्षण पद्धति रही है। उन्होने कहा कि हमारे वेद उपनिषद में ज्ञान संरक्षित है पर हमने संस्कृत भुला दिए यह हमारी गलती थी जिसके बाद हम शून्य पर आ गए। उन्होने कहा कि ज्योतिषी विद्या विज्ञान सम्मत है हमारे घर के पंचांग हमें सूर्य़ोदय से सूर्यास्त व सूर्य़ग्रहण, चंद्रग्रहण के बारे में पहेल से बता देता है। पर लोग इसे सांप्रदायिक व धार्मिक बताते हैं उन्होने कहा कि यह आधुनिक भारत की शब्दावली है व इसने हमारा काफी नुकसान किया हम अपने विद्या पर गौरव करने के बजाय लोगों के पिछलग्गू बन गए। इतिहास बोध हमारी रही व ब्रहांड के गूढ़ रहस्य को हमने पहले पहचाना। उन्होने कहा कि आय़ुर्वेद जो कि हमारे पूर्वजो की तपस्या की देन है हमने उसकी उपेक्षा की  आज पश्चिम हमें आर्गेनिक के नाम पर वही परोस रहा है जो हमारी माताएं हमें हजारों साल से देती रही है। उन्होने आईआईटी के सूत्र वाक्य योगः कर्मशु कौशलम व प्रौद्योगिकी के अंतर्संबंधो की भी विवेचना की व देश के युवाओं को प्रेरित करने वाली स्वरचित कविता सुनाई।

भारत अब अवसरों का देशः दुर्गा शंकर मिश्रा,  मुख्य सचिव यूपी सरकार                 

कभी अमेरिका को अवसरों का देश कहा जाता है व हमारी प्रतिभा पलायन कर जाती थी अब केंद्र सरकार की पहल पर स्थिति बदली है। भारत अब अवसरों का देश है लोग यहां स्टार्टअप के माध्यम से लोगों का नौकरी दे रहे हैं। यह बात सम्मानिय अतिथि, यूपी सरकार के मुख्य सचिव दुर्गा शंकर मिश्रा ने कही। मिश्रा ने कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री ने 2047 तक आत्मनिर्भर व विकसित भारत का जो सपना देखा है उसे पूरा करने में आईआईटी जैसे प्रमुख तकनीकी संस्थान महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभा सकती है। मिश्रा ने कहा क आज हमारी इकोनोमी 3 ट्रिलियन की है अने वाले पांच सालों में इसे 5 ट्रिलियन व 2047 तक 32 ट्रिलियन किए जाने का लक्ष्य रखा गया है। उन्होने कहा कि यूपी में फिलहाल 5 एक्सपप्रेस वे है 8 नए एक्सप्रेस वे पर काम चल रहा है। हमें काम में स्पीड, स्केल के साथ स्कील भी बढ़ाना होगा। मिश्रा ने कहा कि देश भर में हाउस फार आल स्कीम में 1 करोड़ 23 लाख अनुशंसित है जिसमें से 1 करोड़ पर काम हो रहा है जिसमें से 75 लाख लोगों को घर दिए जा चुके हैं। उन्होने बताया कि देश में अभी कुल 46 फीसदी लोग शहरी क्षेत्र मे रहते है सन 51 तक 52 फीसदी हो जाएगा यानि 88 करोड़ लोग शहर में रहेंगे। उन्होने बताया कि देश में कुल 900 किमी में मेट्रो सेवा है जो कि आने वाले 5 साल में 1200 किमी हो जाएगा। उन्होने बताया जल्द ही दिल्ली से मेरठ रैपिड ट्रांसपोर्टेशन सिस्टम शुरु हो जाएगा। मिश्रा ने कहा कि यूपी में बीते 9 महीने में 232 प्राइवेट इंजीनियरिंग कालेज एप्रूव्ड किए गए जिसमें से 6 चालू कर दिए गए। कुल 77 में  से 65 जिलों में मेडिकल कालेज स्थापित कर दिया गया है. 

आईआईटी मेडिकल कालेज में आईपीडी सेवा जल्द शुरु होगीः निदेशक 

आईआईटी के निदेशक प्रो वी के तिवारी ने बताया कि आईआईटी ने सन 51 से लेकर अब तक काफी लंबी दूरी तय की है व उपलब्धि हासिल की है। लगभग 17 हजार विद्यार्थी व 800 टीचर है।  52 डिपार्मंट, स्कुल व सेंटर है। उन्होने कहा कि आईआईटी सिस्टम में कार्य करने की पद्धति सार्वभौम है  निदेशक के बदलने से इसमें फर्क नहीं पड़ता। उन्होने कहा हमारे पास पोटेनशियल है पर हमें ब्रांडिंग किए जाने की जरुरत है। उन्होने कहा कि नई शिक्षा नीति को आईआईटी ने अपनाया है। उन्होंने कहा कि हमारे पास इंडियन नालेज सिस्टम है। निदेशक ने कहा कि हमें एप्रूवल का इंतजार है जिसके बाद मेडिकल कालेज खोल दिया जाएगा जिसमें एमबीबीएस की पढ़ाई होगी। उन्होंने कहा कि जल्द ही इनडोर रोगी भी भर्ती लिए जांएंगे।  सन 2030 तक विश्व के दस प्रमुख संस्थानों में आने का लक्ष्य रखा गया है। उन्होने कहा कि सन 20 से हमने सभी विद्यार्थियों को एआई व मशीन लर्निंग को सीखना कंपलसरी कर दिया है। 

इस अवसर पर टाटा मेडिकल सेंटर, कोलकाता के निदेशक डा. पी अरुण ने कहा कि अब सिर्फ मल्टीडिसीप्लीनरी ज्ञान ही काफी नहीं है हमें इंटरडिसीप्लीनरी शिक्षा की जरुरुत है। आईआईटी खड़गपुर ज्वाइंट ट्रेनिंग प्रोग्राम चला सकता है जिसमे  अगर एक डाक्टर अपना ज्ञान इंजीनियर को दे तो वह आमलोगों के लिए फायदेमंद होगा। उन्होने कहा कि तकनीकी विकास निर्मम है व हमें इसके लिए तैयार रहना होगा। हमें स्वास्थय के क्षेत्र में भी देशी तकनीकी की जरुरुत है व  आईआईटी खड़गपुर ने एफोर्डेबल हेल्थकेयर के लिए काफी कुछ किय है।

                                                                                                                                            As the country enters its 77th year of Independence, IIT Kharagpur also enters its 73rd year of foundation on 18th August 2023 which was adorned by eminent personalities. Mahamohopadhyay Bhadreshdas Swami, Head, BAPS Swaminarayan Research Institute graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Shri Durga Shanker Mishra, IAS, Chief Secretary, Government of Uttar Pradesh and Dr. P Arun, Director, Tata Medical Center also graced the occasion as the Guests of Honour. The invocation started by hoisting the national flag and institute flag at the main building. Conferment of Chair Professor Awards, Gitindra Saran Sanyal Faculty Excellence Awards, Young Alumni Achievers Awards, Staff Excellence Awards, and the institute employees who completed 25 years of service were felicitated.

The Young Alumni Achiever Award was given to 26 young alumni of IIT Kharagpur honouring excellence in innovations, technological developments, research, community welfare, leadership, entrepreneurship, social impact, nation building, national interest and professional accomplishments.
A total of 05 Faculty Excellence Awards, one Institute Chair Professor Awards were presented along with 32 Staff Excellence Awards. A total of 25 people were recognized for their uninterrupted 25 years of service to the Institution.
Mahamohopadhyay Bhadreshdas Swami, Head, BAPS Swaminarayan Research Institute, the Chief Guest of the 72nd Foundation Day of IIT Kharagpur remarked, “This day embarks the foundation of IIT Kharagpur along with a Bhavya Bharat – The extraordinary India. If you want to understand the glory of any culture or any country or civilization, observe its education, research, literature and spirituality. India is a land of education system, a natural education system and a systematic and organised education. I can proudly say that India will be the answer to Artificial Intelligence, it will create a balance to endure and sustain it. India is a land of spirituality. The moto of this institution is Yoga Karmashu Koushalam’ from the Gita. When we attach our self to a purpose, its ‘Yog’ and with ‘Yudyog’ we have to travel in forward direction top succeed and then comes ‘Proudhyog’ which specifies the focused and sincere approach. India is a Land of Education, Land of Research with art music, science, technology and philosophy, the land of new innovations, the land of literature legacy and scripture, the land of spirituality, land of living idols, because we celebrate diversity equality, and inclusion. Most importantly India is glorious because it is the land of IITs, especially IIT Kharagpur.
Shri Durga Shanker Mishra, IAS, Chief Secretary Uttar Pradesh remarked, ” As an Alumnus of IIT Kanpur, I can say that IIT education is different from other education as it develops the holistic character of the students for not only engineering, they need to address the concerns of the society as well. I was amazed to find out that IIT Kharagpur has law school and medical school as well.” After speaking on Amrit Kal, Atmanirbhar Bharat and Developed India he continued to say that it gives immense pleasure to see so many young entrepreneurs here who ensure technology solutions in the remotest of the country. He shared his insights on Affordable Sustainable Housing Accelerators for India that would bring in new technology, new skills, new developments to fulfil the construction requirements of the people of this country. We make a new Chicago every year in this country based on sq feet.Today we can join in the transformation process of the country with 3rd largest start-up system with 100 unicorns has been producing for the world. IITs can provide collaborative platforms for research and innovationinnovation and need to work on distance skilling. “

Prof. V K Tewari, Director, IIT Kharagpur said that the Institute started with 42 teachers and 224 students in 1951 on the lines of MIT. We have grown enormously since then with almost 17000 students currently and I would like to thank all the previous directors and chairman for nuturing this institution. We need to have a critical mass where the goals of the Institute should not only be administration driven but where a particular system must continue irrespective of other things and need to focus on our strengths identifying the respective parameters. Today major organizations, institutions, administration and governanace are operational under the leadership of IITians. The talent we have in this country should be tapped than losing them to MITs. The items in NEP 2020 has been implemented in the Higher Education system at IIT Kharagpur. We have implememted the entry exit policy with exposure of the students to industries with semester away programs. We have Centre for Classical & Folk Art, Indian Knowledge System, Academy of Leadership which are first of their kind in the country. We hope to be in the top 10 in the world by 2030 and identified niche areas in precision agriculture, Industry 4.0, affordable healthcare, Advance Transportation and Infrastructure. We are the first one to have AI Innovation Hub in Machine Learning. We will also have a Centre of Excellence on Futuristic Technologies with DRDO. the Government of India also gave us the responsibility of instituting a Department of Education from this year itself to train quality teachers. We are also working in the areas of medical sciences and technology for many years and have signed MoUs with AIIMs Kalyani and AIIIMs Delhi on the same lines. We believe in taking the technology to the last man of the society. We are also developing sustainable technologies in the rural sectors and have helped more than 20,000 farmers in West Bengal with prominent works that have been done in Bioenergy and Food technology. Now we have more than 80,000 Alumni. We want our faculties and staff to think in a positive frame of mind so that they can reform, perform and transform – a clarion call by our Hon’ble Prime Minister.”

Dr. P Arun, Director, Tata Medical Centre remarked, “Today learning cannot be just multidisciplinary, it has to be interdiciplinary. For IIT Kharagpur, a joint training program where strengthens could be shared, the strength of a doctor could be shared with an engineer and that public knowledge could be used for public good. The progress of technology is relentless and you have to be prepared for it. With the invasion of AI, multidisciplinary and interdiciplinary cooperation is going to be imperative in the years to come. Unless we develop indigenous technology, our own technology, our infrastructure that is what is impressive about IIT Kharagpur which has done do much on affordable healthcare. “
