अनचाहे नवजातों से छुटकारा पाने वालों के लिए चांदमारी में लगा पालना, नवजात बच्चों को निर्मम मौतों से बचाने का उपाय

खड़गपुर, अऩचाहे नवजातों की असहाय मौत को रोकने की दिशा में एक अभिनव पहल की शुरआत की गई है जिसके तहत चांदमारी सहित जिले के चार अस्पतालों में पालना लगाया गया है।

” पालना ” . अब समाज और लोक-लाज के भय से , या आर्थिक  तंगी के कारण किसी नवजात के प्रारब्ध में जंगल- झाड़ियां व निर्जन स्थान की दर्दनाक मौत नही होगी बल्कि सिर्फ़ गुप्त रुप चांदमारी सहित जिले के चार अस्पतालों में रखी गई ” पालना ” में नवजात को रख आना ही काफी होगा . इन परित्यक्त शिशुओं का पालन जिला प्रशासन करेगी .

यह पहल राज्य सरकार के जिला – प्रशासन की देखरेख में जारी रहेगी. ” पालने ” कार्यक्रम का उद्घाटन जिला अधिकारी खुर्शीद अली कादरी ने बीते दिनों की . ज्ञात हो कि चांदमारी, मेदिनीपुर मेडिकल  कॉलेज  अस्पताल ,  घाटाल महकमा सूपर स्पेशलिटी अस्पताल  एवं चंद्रकोणा ग्रामीण अस्पताल.में पालना लगाया गया है. चांदमारी अस्पताल में मेन गेट के भीतर पालन लगाया गया है। 

अनचाहे नवजात को परिजन अस्पताल में लगे” पालना ” .में रखेंगे जिससे अस्पताल के इमेरजेंसी विभाग में लगी बीप सेंसर

  के जरिए बज जाएगी और संबंधित नर्स फौरन बच्चे को लाकर चिकित्सा सहित अनिवार्य कार्रवाई में जुट जाएंगी .

छह माह तक जला स्वास्थय विभाग के चाइल्ड प्रोटेक्शन युनिट देखभाल करेगी जिसके बाद  , सारी वैधानिक औपचारिकताएं पूरी कर शिशु को किसी अनाथालय में या एडाप्ट करने वाले को सौंप दिया जाएगा। बच्चे रखने वालों का नाम भी गुप्त भी रखा जाएगा व किसी भी तरह की पूछताछ नहीं की जाएगी।ज्ञात हो कि अऩचाहे गर्भ या नवजात के मामले में गर्ल चाइल्ड ही ज्यादातर विक्टिम होती है।    

डिस्ट्रिक्ट चाइल्ड प्रोटेक्शन युनिट के चाइल्ड हेल्पलाइन सुपरवाइजर चिरंजीत चक्रवर्ती ने कहा कि कार्यक्रम एडीएम केम्पा होनैया की देखरेख में हो रहा है। पालना में नवजात बच्चों के लिए बिस्तर लगे होंगे. बिजली सहित अन्य व्यवस्था कर दी गई है अब अस्पताल प्रबंधन पालना की बाहरी सजावट करेगी। चांदमारी के सहायक सुपरिटेंडेंट मधु बनी ने कहा कि जल्द ही सभी कामों को पूरा कर लिया जाएगा। 

Palna (Cradle) placed in chandmari for those who want to get rid of unwanted newborns, a solution to protect newborns from cruel death

Kharagpur: To prevent the helpless death of unwanted newborns, an innovative initiative has been started under which palna have been installed in four hospitals of the district including Chandmari. ” palna ” . Now, due to fear of society and people’s shame, or due to financial constraints, no newborn will be destined to die a painful death in the jungles, bushes, drains and deserted places, but only in a secret form, the newborn will be kept in the “cradle” kept in four hospitals of the district including Chandmari. Just keeping it will be enough. The district administration will look after these abandoned babies. This initiative will continue under the supervision of the district administration of the state government. The “Cradle” program was inaugurated by District OM Khurshid Ali Qadri. It may be noted that palnas have been installed in Chandmari, Medinipur Medical College Hospital, Ghatal Department Super Specialty Hospital and Chandrakona Rural Hospital.

The relatives will keep the unwanted newborn in the “cradle” installed in the hospital, due to which a beep will sound through the sensor installed in the emergency department of the hospital and the concerned nurses will immediately bring the baby and start taking necessary action including medical treatment.

The Child Protection Unit of the dist Health Department will take care of it for six months, after which, after completing all the legal formalities, the child will be handed over to an orphanage or to an adopter. The names of those having children will also be kept secret and no questioning will be done. It should be known that in the case of unwanted pregnancy or newborn, the girl child is mostly the victim.

Supervisor, Child Helpline  of District Child Protection Unit, Chiranjeet Chakraborty said that the program is being conducted under the supervision of ADM Kempa Honaiya. Other arrangements including electricity have been made in the palna, now the hospital management will do the external decoration of the palna. Asst Superintendent, chandmari Madhu bani said that decoration work will be completed soon.
