The Interim Union Budget 2024–25 was presented by Smt. Nirmala Sitaraman, Union Minister of Finance and Corporate Affairs, in Parliament today. An allocation of a capital outlay of Rs 2.52 lakh crores for the Indian Railways in the Interim Union Budget 2024–25 has been made. This is the highest-ever outlay and is about nine times the outlay made in Financial Year 2013–14. Presently, Indian Railways handles about 1,000 crore passengers annually.
This time in the interim union budget, the Hon’ble Finance Minister has mentioned the investment and development of three main corridors in Indian Railways. These three corridors will be based on the Energy Corridor, the Rail Sagar (port connectivity), and the Amrit Quadrilateral Corridor. The main aim of the development of these corridors will be to reduce logistic costs and decongest high-density traffic routes. About 40,000 km of new tracks will be laid in the high-density traffic routes under this Amrit Quadrilateral project in a 6 to 8-year time frame. Section capacity will be enhanced by laying new lines and tracks.
The Hon’ble Minister of Railways, Communication & Information and Technology, Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, briefed the media persons through virtual mode about the state-wise allocation of budget for Indian Railways. The video conference was also attended by railway officials. During the briefing, the Hon’ble Minister of Railways announced the state-wise allocations and investments to be made for the revamping of the railway infrastructure.
In this interim union budget, an allocation of Rs. 13810 crore has been made for the state of West Bengal, which is three times more than the allocation of Rs. 4380 crore made during 2009–2014. 98 stations in West Bengal are being redeveloped as Amrit stations. 151 One station, one product stalls are in operation at different railway stations in West Bengal to boost the Vocal for Local Initiative of the government. A total of 406 flyovers and underpasses were constructed in the state during the last 10 years.
For the state of Odisha, an allocation of Rs. 10,536 crore has been made, which is 12 times more than the allocation of Rs. 838 crore made during 2009–2014. 58 stations in Odisha are being redeveloped as Amrit stations. 42 One stations, one product stalls are in operation at different railway stations in Odisha to boost the Vocal for Local Initiative of the government. A total of 409 flyovers and underpasses were constructed in the state during the last 10 years. A new investment of Rs. 52,000 crore is to be made in the state to enhance the infrastructure and railway connectivity. 100% electrification of the broad-gauge network in the state has already been achieved.
For the state of Jharkhand, an allocation of Rs. 7,234 crore has been made, which is 16 times more than the allocation of Rs. 457 crore made during 2009–2014. 57 stations in Jharkhand are being redeveloped as Amrit stations. A total of 383 flyovers and underpasses were constructed in the state during the last 10 years. A new investment of Rs. 40,073 crore is to be made in the state to enhance the infrastructure and railway connectivity.
The production will be ramped up for the Amrit Bharat Trains, Vande Bharat Sleeper, Vande Bharat Metro, Namo Bharat, and Hydrogen trains. 40,000 conventional coaches to be modified as per the Vande Bharat standard. Kavach installation will be a priority to enhance the safety parameters.
अंतरिम केंद्रीय बजट 2024-25 आज संसद में केंद्रीय वित्त और कॉर्पोरेट मामलों की मंत्री श्रीमती निर्मला सीतारमन द्वारा प्रस्तुत किया गया। अंतरिम केंद्रीय बजट 2024-25 में भारतीय रेलवे के लिए 2.52 लाख करोड़ रुपये के पूंजीगत परिव्यय का आवंटन किया गया है। यह अब तक का सबसे अधिक परिव्यय है और वित्तीय वर्ष 2013-14 में किए गए परिव्यय का लगभग नौ गुना है। वर्तमान में, भारतीय रेलवे सालाना लगभग 1,000 करोड़ यात्रियों को संभालती है।
इस बार अंतरिम केंद्रीय बजट में माननीय वित्त मंत्री ने भारतीय रेलवे में तीन मुख्य गलियारों के निवेश और विकास का उल्लेख किया है। ये तीन गलियारे ऊर्जा गलियारा, रेल सागर (बंदरगाह कनेक्टिविटी) और अमृत चतुर्भुज गलियारा पर आधारित होंगे। इन गलियारों के विकास का मुख्य उद्देश्य रसद लागत को कम करना और उच्च घनत्व वाले यातायात मार्गों को कम करना होगा। इस अमृत चतुर्भुज परियोजना के तहत 6 से 8 साल की समय सीमा में उच्च घनत्व वाले यातायात मार्गों पर लगभग 40,000 किमी नई पटरियाँ बिछाई जाएंगी। नई लाइनें और ट्रैक बिछाकर सेक्शन की क्षमता बढ़ाई जाएगी।
माननीय रेल, संचार एवं सूचना एवं प्रौद्योगिकी मंत्री श्री अश्विनी वैष्णव ने वर्चुअल मोड के माध्यम से मीडियाकर्मियों को भारतीय रेलवे के लिए राज्य-वार बजट आवंटन के बारे में जानकारी दी। वीडियो कॉन्फ्रेंस में रेलवे अधिकारी भी शामिल हुए। ब्रीफिंग के दौरान, माननीय रेल मंत्री ने रेलवे बुनियादी ढांचे के सुधार के लिए राज्यवार आवंटन और निवेश की घोषणा की।
इस अंतरिम केंद्रीय बजट में, पश्चिम बंगाल राज्य के लिए 13810 करोड़ रुपये का प्रावधान किया गया है, जो 2009-2014 के दौरान 4380 करोड़ रुपये के आवंटन से तीन गुना अधिक है। पश्चिम बंगाल में 98 स्टेशनों को अमृत स्टेशनों के रूप में पुनर्विकास किया जा रहा है। सरकार की वोकल फॉर लोकल पहल को बढ़ावा देने के लिए पश्चिम बंगाल के विभिन्न रेलवे स्टेशनों पर 151 एक स्टेशन, एक उत्पाद स्टॉल चल रहे हैं। पिछले 10 वर्षों के दौरान राज्य में कुल 406 फ्लाईओवर और अंडरपास का निर्माण किया गया।
ओडिशा राज्य के लिए, 10,536 करोड़ रुपये आवंटन का प्रावधान किया गया है, जो 2009-2014 के दौरान 838 करोड़ रुपये के आवंटन से12 गुना अधिक है। ओडिशा में 58 स्टेशनों को अमृत स्टेशनों के रूप में पुनर्विकास किया जा रहा है। सरकार की वोकल फॉर लोकल पहल को बढ़ावा देने के लिए ओडिशा के विभिन्न रेलवे स्टेशनों पर 42 एक स्टेशन, एक उत्पाद स्टॉल चल रहे हैं। पिछले 10 वर्षों के दौरान राज्य में कुल 409 फ्लाईओवर और अंडरपास का निर्माण किया गया। राज्य में बुनियादी ढांचे और रेलवे कनेक्टिविटी को बढ़ाने के लिए 52,000 करोड़ रुपये का नया निवेश किया जाना है। राज्य में ब्रॉड-गेज नेटवर्क का 100% विद्युतीकरण पहले ही हासिल किया जा चुका है।
झारखंड राज्य के लिए 7,234 करोड़ रुपये आवंटन का प्रावधान किया गया है, जो 2009-2014 के दौरान 457 करोड़ रुपये के आवंटन से 16 गुना अधिक है। झारखंड में 57 स्टेशनों को अमृत स्टेशनों के रूप में पुनर्विकसित किया जा रहा है। पिछले 10 वर्षों के दौरान राज्य में कुल 383 फ्लाईओवर और अंडरपास का निर्माण किया गया। राज्य में बुनियादी ढांचे और रेलवे कनेक्टिविटी को बढ़ाने के लिए 40,073 करोड़ रुपये का नया निवेश किया जाना है।
अमृत भारत ट्रेनों, वंदे भारत स्लीपर, वंदे भारत मेट्रो, नमो भारत और हाइड्रोजन ट्रेनों के लिए उत्पादन बढ़ाया जाएगा। 40,000 पारंपरिक कोचों को वंदे भारत मानक के अनुसार संशोधित किया जाएगा। सुरक्षा मापदंडों को बढ़ाने के लिए कवच स्थापना प्राथमिकता होगी।
