हाथियों की सुरक्षा के लिए खड़गपुर रेलवे और वन विभाग ने मिलाया हाथ
रेल पटरियों पर हाथियों की सुरक्षित आवाजाही सुनिश्चित करने और ट्रेन हादसों को रोकने के लिए आज खड़गपुर रेल मंडल और पश्चिम बंगाल वन विभाग के बीच एक उच्च स्तरीय समन्वय बैठक आयोजित की गई।
खड़गपुर के मंडल रेल प्रबंधक (DRM) श्री ललित मोहन पांडे की अध्यक्षता में हुई इस बैठक में हाथियों के संरक्षण और कॉरिडोर क्षेत्रों में सुरक्षा बढ़ाने पर गहन चर्चा हुई।
बैठक के मुख्य बिंदु:
वाइल्डलाइफ क्रॉसिंग का निर्माण: खड़गपुर मंडल ने रेलवे बोर्ड को चिन्हित हाथी गलियारों (corridors) में अंडरपास और ओवरपास बनाने का प्रस्ताव भेजा है, ताकि हाथी बिना किसी खतरे के पटरी पार कर सकें।
आधुनिक तकनीक का उपयोग: हाथियों की मौजूदगी का पता लगाने के लिए सेंसर-आधारित अर्ली वार्निंग सिस्टम और निगरानी उपकरणों के इस्तेमाल पर जोर दिया गया।
सतर्कता और प्रशिक्षण: लोको पायलटों और गार्डों को संवेदनशील क्षेत्रों में विशेष सावधानी बरतने और निर्धारित गति सीमा (Speed Limit) का पालन करने के निर्देश दिए गए हैं।
बेहतर तालमेल: वन विभाग और रेलवे के फील्ड स्टाफ के बीच सीधा संपर्क स्थापित किया गया है ताकि हाथियों के झुंड के दिखने पर तुरंत सूचना साझा की जा सके और ट्रेनों की गति को नियंत्रित किया जा सके।
बैठक में शामिल अधिकारी:
बैठक में रेलवे की ओर से सुश्री मनीषा गोयल (ADRM ऑपरेशंस), श्री देबजीत दास (ADRM इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर) और अन्य वरिष्ठ अधिकारी मौजूद थे। वन विभाग का नेतृत्व डॉ. एस. कुलंदैवेल (मुख्य वन संरक्षक, पश्चिमी सर्कल) ने किया, जिनके साथ झाड़ग्राम, रूपनारायणपुर और खड़गपुर के मंडल वन अधिकारी (DFO) भी शामिल हुए।
दोनों विभागों ने दोहराया कि आधुनिक तकनीक और आपसी समन्वय के जरिए वन्यजीवों की सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित करना उनकी प्राथमिकता है।
Kharagpur Division Conducts Surprise Check at Andul Station; Unapproved Packaged Drinking Water Seized
Kharagpur, Dec 22, 2025:
In a bid to ensure quality services and safeguard the health and safety of passengers, the Commercial Department of Kharagpur Division conducted a surprise inspection at Andul railway station. During the check, about 110 bottles of unapproved packaged drinking water were seized from a catering stall operating at the station.
The inspection revealed that the packaged drinking water stocked and offered for sale at the stall did not have the requisite approvals and authorisation as per prescribed railway and food safety norms. Considering the potential risk to passengers, immediate action was taken and the unapproved stock was seized on the spot.
Railway authorities have reiterated that the sale of unapproved food items and packaged drinking water at stations is strictly prohibited. Catering units are required to comply with all relevant standards, guidelines and approvals to ensure safe and hygienic services to passengers.
Kharagpur Division remains committed to maintain high standards of passenger amenities and will continue to carry out regular and surprise checks across stations to prevent such violations. Strict action will be taken against erring vendors as per rules.

action.
