DRM खड़गपुर ने सतर्कता और सुरक्षा के प्रति जागरूकता के लिए अलर्ट ट्रैक मेंटेनर्स को सम्मानित किया

खड़गपुर डिवीजन के ट्रैक मेंटेनर-III, श्री संजय सिंह और ट्रैक मेंटेनर-IV, श्री भीम महाता को उनकी शानदार सतर्कता, ध्यान और ड्यूटी के प्रति समर्पण को देखते हुए, रेलवे सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित करने में उनके शानदार प्रदर्शन के लिए खड़गपुर डिवीजन के डिवीजनल रेलवे मैनेजर, श्री ललित मोहन पांडे ने कैश अवॉर्ड और सर्टिफिकेट ऑफ़ एप्रिसिएशन से सम्मानित किया।
07/08 सितंबर 2026 की रात को, JGM–GII सेक्शन में ब्रिज नंबर 103 (Km 156/5–7) पर स्टेशनरी पेट्रोलिंग ड्यूटी करते समय, लगभग 20:30 बजे, SSE/P.Way/JGM के तहत काम कर रहे श्री संजय सिंह ने तीसरी लाइन पर तीन अनजान लोगों को चलते हुए देखा। जब उन्होंने उनकी ओर लाइट डाली, तो वे लोग मौके से भाग गए। जगह का मुआयना करने पर, उन्हें ट्रैक पर एक लोहे की छड़ पड़ी मिली, जिससे रेलवे ट्रैक के आस-पास किसी बिना इजाज़त या संदिग्ध गतिविधि का पता चला।
उसी रात, करीब 22:05 बजे, JGM–GII सेक्शन के Km 153/15–156/00 पर नाइट पेट्रोलिंग ड्यूटी करते समय, श्री भीम महाता ने Km 156/1–3 पर अप लाइन पर एक बैग, दो हैकसॉ ब्लेड, तार का एक टुकड़ा और एक पानी की बोतल पड़ी देखी। सामान के संदिग्ध होने को देखते हुए, उन्होंने तुरंत संबंधित सुपरवाइज़री अधिकारियों को बताया।
दोनों स्टाफ़ की समय पर रिपोर्टिंग से तुरंत कार्रवाई हो सकी। JGM-GII सेक्शन के बीच अप, डाउन और तीसरी लाइनों की RPF, ASM और सेक्शनल PWI ने संबंधित स्टाफ़ के साथ अच्छी तरह से जाँच की। यह पक्का करने के बाद कि लाइनें ट्रेन की आवाजाही के लिए सुरक्षित हैं, ट्रेन का ऑपरेशन फिर से शुरू कर दिया गया। उनकी सतर्कता, सूझबूझ, सुरक्षा के प्रति जागरूकता और की तारीफ़ करते हुए, DRM खड़गपुर ने श्री संजय सिंह और श्री भीम महाता दोनों को कैश अवॉर्ड और सर्टिफिकेट ऑफ़ एप्रिसिएशन दिया।
DRM Kharagpur Honours Alert Track Maintainers for Vigilance and Safety Consciousness
Kharagpur, 29.09.2026:
Recognising their exemplary alertness, vigilance and devotion to duty, Sri Sanjay Singh, Track Maintainer-III, and Sri Bhim Mahata, Track Maintainer-IV, of Kharagpur Division were honoured by Shri Lalit Mohan Pandey, Divisional Railway Manager, Kharagpur, with a Cash Award and Certificate of Appreciation for their commendable performance in ensuring railway safety.
During the night of 07/08 September 2026, while performing stationary patrolling duty at Bridge No. 103 (Km 156/5–7) in the JGM–GII section, at around 20:30 hrs, Sri Sanjay Singh, working under SSE/P.Way/JGM, noticed three unidentified persons walking along the 3rd line. When he flashed his light towards them, the persons fled from the spot. On inspecting the location, he found a crowbar lying on the track, indicating possible unauthorised or suspicious activity in the vicinity of the railway track.
On the same night, at around 22:05 hrs, while performing night patrolling duty in Km 153/15–156/00 of JGM–GII section, Sri Bhim Mahata noticed a bag, two hacksaw blades, a piece of wire and a water bottle lying at Km 156/1–3 on the Up line. Considering the suspicious nature of the articles, he immediately informed the concerned supervisory officials.
The timely reporting by both staff enabled immediate action. The Up, Down and 3rd lines between JGM–GII section were thoroughly checked by RPF, ASM and sectional PWI along with the concerned staff. After ensuring that the lines were safe for train movement, train operations were resumed.
Appreciating their alertness, presence of mind, safety consciousness and prompt response, DRM Kharagpur presented a Cash Award and Certificate of Appreciation to both Sri Sanjay Singh and Sri Bhim Mahata.
The recognition highlights the importance of the vigilance of frontline railway personnel, particularly those engaged in night patrolling, in safeguarding railway infrastructure and ensuring safe and uninterrupted train operations.
Kharagpur Division commends the exemplary efforts of both staff and encourages all railway personnel to remain vigilant and safety-conscious while performing their duties.
