DRM Kharagpur Inspects Ongoing Redevelopment Works at Kharagpur Station

Kharagpur, 01 April 2026:

Shri Lalit Mohan Pandey, Divisional Railway Manager, Kharagpur Division of South Eastern Railway, conducted an inspection of Kharagpur Railway Station today and reviewed the progress of the ongoing redevelopment works being carried out under the Amrit Station Scheme.

During the inspection, the DRM reviewed various aspects of the station redevelopment project, including infrastructure upgradation and passenger facility enhancements being undertaken as part of the Amrit Station redevelopment initiative.

The DRM was accompanied by ADRM (Infra)/Kharagpur, Dy. CPM (Gati Shakti), Sr. DCM and other senior divisional officers.

Shri Pandey also inspected several passenger amenity items at the station premises, including facilities available on platforms as well as in the circulating area. He assessed the condition and functionality of various amenities provided for passengers and reviewed the arrangements being made for their convenience and comfort.

During the inspection, the DRM emphasised the importance of maintaining high standards of cleanliness, passenger convenience and timely completion of redevelopment works. He also issued necessary instructions to concerned officials to ensure smooth progress of the works and improvement of passenger facilities at the station.

The inspection forms part of the continuous monitoring of developmental works and passenger amenities by Kharagpur Division to enhance the travel experience of rail users.
