खड़गपुर रेल मंडल के नए डीआरएम ने कार्यभार संभाला






खड़गपुर रेल मंडल में नेतृत्व परिवर्तन हुआ। शाम (मंगलबार )खड़गपुर मंडल के पूर्व डीआरएम के. आर. चौधरी ने औपचारिक रूप से विदाई ली। उनकी जगह नए डीआरएम ललित मोहन पांडे ने कार्यभार संभाला।




आज शाम एक संक्षिप्त समारोह में ललित मोहन पांडे को आधिकारिक रूप से पदभार सौंपा गया। इसके साथ ही खड़गपुर रेल मंडल के प्रशासनिक कार्यों का नया अध्याय शुरू हुआ।


Shri Lalit Mohan Pandey Assumes Charge as Divisional Railway Manager, Kharagpur Division
Shri Lalit Mohan Pandey, a distinguished officer of the 1994 batch of Indian Railway Service of Mechanical Engineers (IRSME), today assumed charge as the Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) of Kharagpur Division, South Eastern Railway.
With over three decades of rich and varied experience in the Indian Railways, Shri Pandey brings with him a dynamic leadership approach and a proven track record in railway operations, planning, and infrastructure development. Prior to his current appointment, he held several key positions across multiple zones of Indian Railways, including:
As Chief Workshop Engineer, Rail Coach Factory, Kapurthala (May 2025 Onwards).
As Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) at National Fertilizers Limited (NFL), Noida (2020-2025),
As ADRM, Mumbai Division, Western Railway (2017-2020),
As Dy. Chief Mechanical Engineer, Bengaluru (2011-2017),
As Director Testing, RDSO (2005-2011),
As Dy. Chief Mechanical Engineer, Golden Rock Workshop (2002-2005),
As Divisional Mechanical Engineer, Chennai Division (2001-2002),
As Divisional Mechanical Engineer, KJM Diesel Loco Shed (1997-2001),
A leader known for his efficiency, discipline, and result-oriented approach, Shri Pandey is expected to bring new energy and vision to the functioning of Kharagpur Division. The division is poised to scale greater heights under the stewardship of Shri Lalit Mohan Pandey, whose rich experience across diverse roles is expected to foster innovation, safety, and public service.
The Kharagpur Division has already witnessed a series of impactful initiatives and infrastructural developments under the leadership of Shri K.R. Chaudhary, the Outgoing Divisional Railway Manager. Some major milestones include:
Introduction of Vande Bharat Express (Ranchi–Howrah, & Howrah-Rourkela) & Amrit Bharat Express along with dedication of new passenger line between Gopinathpur Nilgiri and Baleshwar stations.
New stoppages granted for major trains at multiple locations such as, Haldipada, Belda, Jhargram, Mecheda, Chakulia, Ghatsila and Galudih, improving connectivity for local passengers.
Yard remodelling and Electronic Interlocking (EI) completed at multiple stations like Tikiapara, Santragachi, Andul, Soro, Markona, Ranital, Ghatsila, Galudih, Rakhamines, Medinipur, Basta, Raghunathbari, and Dantan.
Traffic movement on newly commissioned 3rd Line Ghatsila-Salghajhari (KGP-ADTP) 3rd line work, Launch of freight operations to Dhamra Port via the newly commissioned rail link from RNTL-RNJC. Opening of NYA-BELDA Newly constructed 3rd Line (13.33KM).
New Foot Over Bridges (FOBs) and subways commissioned at multiple locations such as PKU, MCA, MRGM, BSBP, JGM, BLS, KSO, RGT and Betnoti.
Passenger lifts, escalators, and travellators installed across multiple stations, enhancing accessibility.
Removal/relaxation of Permanent Speed Restrictions (PSRs) across multiple sections, with sectional speed raised to 110 KMPH in GTS–ASB (19.296 km).
Elimination and interlocking of over 15 level crossings, with 05 Limited Height Subways (LHS) constructed.
ISO certification to ELS/SRC and ELS/KGP for Quality Management, Environmental Management & Occupational Health & Safety Management.
Commissioning of Jan Aushadhi Kendra, and OSOP stalls across the division.
Upgraded facilities for Vande Bharat Chair Car Maintenance.

Best ever performance:
The division recorded its highest ever Passenger Earnings of Rs.1826.19 Cr during the Financial Year 2024-25.
The division recorded its highest ever Parcel & Luggage Earnings of Rs.123.56 Cr during the Financial Year 2024-25.
The division recorded its highest ever Parking revenue Earnings of Rs. Rs.435.2 Lakhs, during the Financial Year 2024-25.
Generation of Highest ever revenue through Scrap Sale in Financial year 2024-25: ₹70.21 Cr.
Highest ever Progress of Track Renewal is 183.053 Tr.Km during the financial year 2024-25.
Highest ever Output of PQRS in a financial year (2024-25) – 123.781 Tr.Km.
Highest ever Progress of Sleeper Renewal (Primary) is 142.797 Tr.Km during the financial year 2024-25.
Highest ever Progress of Rail Renewal (Primary) is 177.214 Tr.Km during the financial year 2024-25.
Kharagpur Division will now continue its stride toward operational excellence, infrastructural transformation, and passenger-centric growth on the path showed by Shri K.R. Chaudhary under the leadership of Shri Lalit Mohan Pandey. His appointment is expected to further accelerate progress, align with national priorities, and uplift the overall travel experience across the region.

খড়গপুর রেল মন্ডলে নেতৃত্বে পরিবর্তন ঘটল। সন্ধ্যায়(মঙ্গলবার )খড়গপুর মন্ডলের প্রাক্তন ডিআরএম কে আর চৌধুরী আনুষ্ঠানিকভাবে বিদায় নিলেন। তাঁর স্থলাভিষিক্ত হিসাবে দায়িত্ব গ্রহণ করলেন ললিত মোহন পাণ্ডে।
আজ সন্ধ্যায় এক সংক্ষিপ্ত অনুষ্ঠানে নতুন ডিআরএম ললিত মোহন পাণ্ডেকে দায়িত্ব অর্পণ করা হয়। এর মাধ্যমে খড়গপুর রেল মন্ডলে প্রশাসনিক কাজকর্মের নতুন অধ্যায় শুরু হল।
