रक्त संकट के बीच खरीदा मिलन मंदिर क्लब की सराहनीय पहल, 44 लोगों ने किया रक्तदान
खड़कपुर महकमा अस्पताल (Kharagpur Sub-divisional Hospital) में चल रही रक्त की भारी कमी को देखते हुए, खरीदा मिलन मंदिर क्लब ने एक सराहनीय कदम उठाया है। अस्पताल के ब्लड बैंक कर्मचारियों द्वारा सूचना मिली थी कि वर्तमान में रक्त का संकट गहराता जा रहा है।
संकट का कारण:
जानकारी के अनुसार, वर्तमान में SIR (Summary Revision of Electoral Rolls/मतदाता सूची संशोधन) प्रक्रिया चलने के कारण राजनीतिक दल रक्तदान शिविर आयोजित नहीं कर पा रहे हैं। वहीं, ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों में धान की कटाई (Harvesting Season) का समय होने के कारण वहां भी रक्तदान शिविरों की कमी देखी जा रही है।
क्लब की पहल और उत्साह:
इस स्थिति को देखते हुए, क्लब के सदस्यों ने तत्काल बैठक कर रक्तदान शिविर आयोजित करने का निर्णय लिया। चूंकि यह क्लब का पहला प्रयास था, इसलिए 30 रक्तदाताओं का लक्ष्य रखा गया था। हालांकि, प्रचार और जनसंपर्क के बाद उत्साह इतना बढ़ा कि कुल 44 लोगों ने रक्तदान किया। इनमें 36 पुरुष और 8 महिलाएं शामिल थीं।
मुख्य विशेषताएं:
शिविर में लगभग 15 नए रक्तदाताओं ने पहली बार रक्तदान किया, जिनमें आधी संख्या महिलाओं की थी।
समाज के लिए एक मिसाल पेश करते हुए, क्लब के सदस्यों के एक ही परिवार के 8 लोगों ने रक्तदान किया।
अतिथियों की उपस्थिति:
रक्तदाताओं का उत्साह बढ़ाने के लिए खड़कपुर नगरपालिका की चेयरपर्सन कल्याणी घोष, डॉ. ईशानी दत्ता, पूर्व चेयरमैन प्रदीप सरकार, और वार्ड नंबर 8 की पार्षद जयश्री पाल सहित कई गणमान्य व्यक्ति उपस्थित थे।
क्लब ने स्वर्गीय गोपाल दास और शोभादेवी राजपाल के परिवारों, तथा खड़कपुर महकमा अस्पताल की मेडिकल टीम को विशेष धन्यवाद दिया। क्लब के जूनियर सदस्यों ने इस आयोजन में अग्रणी भूमिका निभाई। आयोजकों का मानना है कि इन 44 यूनिट रक्त से कई बीमार लोगों की जान बचाई जा सकेगी और उन्हें नया जीवन मिलेगा।

In a timely response to an urgent medical need, the Kharida Milan Mandir Club organized a successful blood donation camp to combat the ongoing blood shortage at the Kharagpur Sub-divisional Hospital.
Addressing the Crisis:
The initiative began after Blood Bank staff alerted the club about the critical shortage of blood units. The shortage has been attributed to two main factors: political parties are currently occupied with the ongoing SIR (Summary Revision of Electoral Rolls) process, reducing the number of political camps, and rural donors are unavailable due to the busy paddy harvesting season.
Exceeding Expectations:
Recognizing the urgency, club members quickly mobilized. Although they initially targeted 30 donors for this debut event, the response was overwhelming. Extensive campaigning in the neighborhood led to a total of 44 donors stepping forward, comprising 36 men and 8 women.
Key Highlights of the Camp:
New Donors: About 15 people donated blood for the first time, with women making up half of these new donors.
Family Effort: In an inspiring display of social responsibility, 8 members from a single family of club members donated blood.
Dignitaries Present:
The event was graced by several prominent figures who came to encourage the donors, including Kharagpur Municipality Chairperson Kalyani Ghosh, Dr. Ishani Dutta, Ex-Chairman Pradip Sarkar, and Ward 8 Councilor Jayshree Pal.
Community Impact:
The club extended special thanks to the families of the Late Gopal Das and Shobhadevi Rajpal for their support, as well as the medical team from the Sub-divisional Hospital. The junior members of the club played a leading role in managing the event. Organizers emphasized that this camp goes beyond just numbers; the 44 units collected will provide life-saving blood components to numerous patients in need.
