Temporary Closure of Railway Level Crossing Gate No. 52 at Balichak
Kharagpur, 16 September 2026:
Kharagpur Division will undertake necessary Railway engineering and maintenance works in connection with the Road Over Bridge (ROB) at Balichak Station. In view of the safety requirements associated with execution of the said works, Railway Level Crossing Gate No. 52, located at KM 90/21-23 between Duan and Balichak, will remain temporarily closed to road traffic.
The Level Crossing Gate will be closed for a period of 60 hours, from 18:00 hrs on 18.09.2026 to 06:00 hrs on 21.09.2026.
During the aforesaid period, movement of all vehicular and pedestrian traffic through the said Level Crossing Gate shall remain prohibited in the interest of public safety and for facilitating the execution of the requisite Railway engineering works.
The Level Crossing Gate will be reopened for normal road traffic upon completion of the works and after obtaining clearance from the competent Railway Authority.
