Kolkata, South Eastern Railway has taken up the running of Oxygen Express in a mission mode during this unprecedented situation of Covid 19 and more than 100 Oxygen Express Trains have already originated from its jurisdiction. These Oxygen Express Trains have helped to bring relief to the COVID affected patients in different parts of the country.
During the last 28 days (till 20.05.2021), SER has moved altogether 101 Oxygen Express Trains carrying a total 6810 tonnes of Liquid Medical Oxygen (LMO) to the requesting States. The Oxygen Express Trains originating from Tatanagar, Bokaro Steel City and Rourkela in SER jurisdiction have reached different important places in 11 States and Union Territories. So far the life saving LMO has been despatched for the Covid affected patients in Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Karnataka, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and Delhi.
Two more Oxygen Express trains originated from SER’s jurisdiction today. One train left Rourkela towards Faridabad carrying 59.64 tonnes of LMO and the other train also left Rourkela towards Chennai with 41.45 tonnes of LMO.

SOUTH EASTERN RAILWAY OBSERVES ANTI-TERRORISM DAY
Kolkata, 21st May, 2021:-
“Anti-Terrorism Day” was virtually observed by South Eastern Railway this morning (21.05.2021).
Shri Vidya Bhushan, General Manager, South Eastern Railway and East Coast Railway virtually administered the pledge to officers and staff to uphold and promote peace, social harmony and understanding among all fellow human beings and fight the forces of disruption threatening human lives and values.
Anti-Terrorism Day was also observed at all Divisional Offices of South Eastern Railway i.e. Kharagpur, Adra, Chakradharpur and Ranchi
