दक्षिण पूर्व रेलवे की सबसे प्राचीन ट्रेन हावड़ा-मुम्बई मेल को हावड़ा से स्वतंत्रता सेनानी के हाथ से हरी झंडी दिखा रवाना किया गया , 25 नवम्बर 1893 को हावड़ा से मुम्बई वाया आसनसोल तक प्रथम बार चली थी थी मुम्बई मेल, हावड़ा-नागपुर-मुंबई लाइन को 1900 में यातायात के लिए खुला

खड़गपुर रेल मंडल अपनी प्रतिष्ठित ट्रेन 12810 (HWH-CSMT) को हावड़ा रेलवे स्टेशन के नए परिसर से स्वतंत्रता सेनानी के हाथ से हरी झंडी दिखाई । यह दक्षिण पूर्व रेलवे की सबसे पुरानी चलने वाली ट्रेन है जो स्वतंत्रता युग के पहले से चल रही है I ट्रेन ने 25 सितंबर, 1893 को हावड़ा स्टेशन से बॉम्बे तक, खड़गपुर-बिलासपुर खंड के पूरा होने तक आसनसोल के माध्यम से अपनी सेवाएं शुरू कीं। 1968 किमी लंबी नागपुर के रास्ते कोलकाता और मुंबई को जोड़ने वाली हावड़ा-नागपुर-मुंबई लाइन को 1900 में यातायात के लिए खोल दिया गया I

इस अवसर पर, स्वतंत्रता सेनानी श्रीमती ज्योतिर्मयी घोष और उनके परिवार के सदस्यों को हावड़ा रेलवे स्टेशन पर आमंत्रित किया गया। उन्होंने हावड़ा रेलवे स्टेशन के प्लेटफॉर्म नंबर 22 से पूरी तरह से सजाए गए हावड़ा मुंबई मेल को प्रधान मुख्य कार्मिक अधिकारी/जीआरसी, डॉ. महुआ वर्मा एवं डीआरएम खड़गपुर श्री मनोरंजन प्रधान की उपस्थिति में निर्धारित प्रस्थान समय पर झंडी दिखाकर रवाना किया। उक्त कार्यक्रम के दौरान हावड़ा के माननीय सांसद श्री प्रसून बनर्जी भी उपस्थित थे।

ज्ञात हो कि देश इस साल अपनी आजादी की 75वीं वर्षगांठ मना रहा है, उसी के उपलक्ष्य में भारतीय रेलवे “आजादी का अमृत महोत्सव” कार्यक्रम के तहत विभिन्न गतिविधियों को अंजाम दे रहा है। इसके तत्वावधान में दक्षिण पूर्व रेलवे का खड़गपुर मंडल भी 18 जुलाई से 23 जुलाई 2022 तक आज़ादी का अमृत महोत्सव का प्रतिष्ठित सप्ताह “आज़ादी की रेल गाड़ी और स्टेशन” मना रहा है I

उक्त ट्रेनों के यात्रियों को इसके महत्व के बारे में और स्वतंत्रता संग्राम के दौरान भारतीय रेलवे के योगदान को बताने हेतु पर्चे दिए गए । विभिन्न सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रमों का आयोजन किया गया।

श्रीमती ज्योतिर्मयी घोष का जन्म वर्ष 1927 में, 19 जनवरी को वर्तमान बांग्लादेश में बारीसाल में हुआ था। उनके पिता स्वर्गीय हेमंत कुमार विश्वास महात्मा गांधी के अनुयायी थे। प्रख्यात क्रांतिकारी स्वर्गीय बिहारी लाल विश्वास श्रीमती घोष के दादा थे। नेताजी बोस के भारत से पलायन के बाद, मेजर सत्य रंजन बख्शी, नेताजी की ओर से बांग्लादेश और पश्चिम बंगाल में हथियारों और क्रांति को जारी रखने के लिए निर्देशक थे । श्रीमती घोष स्वर्गीय मेजर सत्य रंजन बख्शी की भाभी थीं। श्रीमती घोष के पति, स्वर्गीय सुनील कुमार घोष, एक प्रमुख स्वतंत्रता सेनानी भी थे जिन्हें स्वतंत्रता संग्राम के दौरान दो बार गिरफ्तार किया गया था । श्रीमती घोष को स्वतंत्रता संग्राम के दौरान कई बार गिरफ्तार भी किया गया था, पहली बार केवल 16 साल की उम्र में I उन्होंने मातृभूमि की खातिर खुद को हमेशा तैयार रखा।

माननीय रेल मंत्री, 23.07.2022 को “आज़ादी का अमृत महोत्सव” के प्रतिष्ठित सप्ताह समारोह के तत्वावधान में “आज़ादी की रेल गाड़ी और स्टेशन” कार्यक्रम का उद्घाटन करेंगे।
खड़गपुर मंडल के बालासोर स्टेशन की पहचान एक स्वतंत्रता स्टेशन के रूप में की जा रही है.
नई दिल्ली के कार्यक्रम का 23.07.2022 को बालासोर रेलवे स्टेशन पर सीधा प्रसारण किया जाएगा।
प्रतिष्ठित आज़ादी की रेल गाड़ी और स्टेशन” सप्ताह उत्सव के समापन को चिह्नित करने के लिए विविध सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रमों और गतिविधियों की योजना बनाई गई हैI

The country is celebrating its 75th year of independence this year, to commemorate the
same, Indian railways is carrying out various activities under the AZADI KA AMRIT MAHOTSAV
program. Under the aegis of this, Kharagpur division of South Eastern Railway is also celebrating
the iconic week of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav by celebrating “Azadi ki Rail Gadi aur Stations” from
18th July to 23rd July 2022.
On 20.07.2022, kharagpur division has flagged off its iconic train 12810 (HWH-CSMT
MUMBAI MAIL) by the hand of freedom fighter from the new complex of Howrah railway station.

This is the oldest running train of South Eastern Railway which is in operation from before
independence era. The train started its services on 25th September, 1893 from Howrah station to
Bombay via Asansol until the completion of Kharagpur-Bilaspur section. The 1968 km long
Howrah-Nagpur-Mumbai line connecting Kolkata and Mumbai via Nagpur was opened to traffic in
1900.

The first train of the Indian Railways was introduced from Mumbai to Thane on April 16, 1853. On this day one of the world’s largest railway networks is turning 162-years-old. The first train of the Indian Railways was introduced from Mumbai to Thane on April 16, 1853.

 

To mark the occasion, freedom fighter Smt Jyotirmoyee Ghosh and her family members
were invited at Howrah railway station, she flagged off the fully decorated Howrah Mumbai mail
from platform no. 22 of Howrah railway station at the scheduled departure time in presence of
Principal Chief Personnel Officer/GRC, Dr. Mahua Verma and DRM Kharagpur Shri Manoranjan
Pradhan. Hon’ble MP of Howrah, Shri Prasun Banerjee was also present during the said event.
The passengers of the said trains were given pamphlets regarding the importance of the
train and importance of Indian railways during the freedom struggle. Various cultural programs
were performed during the event.
Smt. Jyotirmoyee Ghosh was born in the year 1927, on 19th Jan at Barisal in Present day
Bangladesh. Her father, late Hemanta Kumar Biswas was a follower of Mahatma Gandhi. The
eminent revolutionist Late Bihari Lal Biswas was the grandfather of Mrs. Ghosh.
After the great escape of Netaji Bose from india, Major Satya Ranjan Bakshi was the director
on behalf of Netaji for the arms and revolution to be continued in Bangladesh and West Bengal. Smt.
Ghosh was the sister in law of late Major Satya Ranjan Bakshi. Late Sunil kumar Ghosh, Husband of
Smt. Ghosh was also a prominent freedom fighter who was arrested twice during the freedom
movement. Smt. Ghosh was also arrested many times during the freedom struggle, first time only at
the age of 16. She always kept herself ready for the sake of motherland.
Hon’ble Minister of Railways will inaugurate milestone event of the iconic week celebration
of “Azadi ki rail gadi aur stations” under the aegis of “Azaadi ka Amrit mahotsav” on 23.07.2022.
Balasore station of Kharagpur division is being identified as one of the freedom station. The
program from New Delhi will be live streamed at Balasore Railway station on 23.07.2022. Various
cultural programs and activities are planned for marking the completion of the iconic celebration
week of “Azadi ki rail gadi aur station
