A Precious life has been saved by the on dutys taff, Shri H.Satish Kumar, LR/PM-A/KGP at Balichak Station of Kharagpur division on 23.06.2022. While performing his duty at around 5.30 AM at Platform no. 02 of Balichak railway station, the karmayogi Pointsman, Sri SatishK umar, noticed an elderly man lying near the railway tracks. The on duty staff noticed an approaching goods train (BCN VZM) on thesame track towards Kharagpur direction. Without wasting any precious time, or having a second thought, Sri Satish ran nearly 50 mtrs towards the man to save his life. He not only showed exemplary courage but also risked his own life to save the man. Hemanaged to pull back the man safely from the tracks just before the passing of the train. Sri Satish’s alertness and dedication towards his duty has beena pplauded by the railway fraternity.
