दक्षिण पूर्व रेलवे के कुल 108 ट्रेनों से 2S कोच हटा अनरिजर्वड कोच में बदले जा रहे, अनरिजर्व जनरल कोच से आपात यात्रा करने वाले यात्रियों को होगी सुविधा

In accordance with railway board’s order, Kharagpur division has started de-augmentation of 2S coaches from respective PRS train profile for facilitating unreserved passengers after the completion of suitable Advance Reservation period.
The division has already started restoring unreserved coaches in all long distance Mail/Express trains as per their
pre covid composition by withdrawing the 2S profile. The restoration of all the unreserved coaches in trains owned by this division shall be completed latest by 13.07.2022.
The restoration of unreserved coaches will help the passengers in undertaking their journeys on a short notice. The train wise list for restoration of unreserved coaches is attached herewith for information.

खड़गपुर रेल मंडल के कुल 62 ट्रेनों से रिजर्व 2S कोचों को जनरल डिब्बे में बदले जा रहे हैं अब यात्री टिकट काउंटर से जनरल टिकट लेकर यात्रा कर सकते हैं अगर दक्षिण पूर्व रेलवे के 4 मंडलों के ट्रेनों की बात की जाए तो कुल 108 ट्रेनों से 2S कोच हटा अनरिजर्वड कोच में बदले जा रहे हैं मई माह से शुरू हुई यह प्रक्रिया है उक्त ट्रेनों में 13 जुलाई तक पूरी कर ली जाएगी । ज्ञात हो कि घुरौना के कारण जनरल डिब्बों को 2S रिज़र्व श्रेणी में बदल दिया गया था जिसके कारण पूरी ट्रेनें रिजर्व कोच में बदल दी गई थी व इमरजेंसी में यात्रा करने वाले यात्रियों को काफी परेशानी हो रही थी अब फिर से अनरिजर्व सिस्टम लागू होने से आपातकालीन यात्रा करने वाले यात्रियों को सहूलियत होगी ।

LHB CONVERSION AND STANDARDISATION OF RAKES
Train no. 12841/42 SHM-MAS-SHM COROMANDEL EXPRESS & Train no.
12839/40 HWH-MAS-HWH CHENNAI MAIL shall run with LHB composition from
05.07.2022 onwards.
The first rake of train no. 12841/42 SHM-MAS-SHM COROMANDEL EXPRESS
started running with LHB composition Ex. SHM from today, i.e. 05.07.2022 & Ex. MAS
from 07.07.2022.
The first rake of train no. 12839/40 HWH-MAS-HWH CHENNAI MAIL shall run
with LHB composition Ex. HWH from today, i.e. 05.07.2022 & Ex. MAS from
06.07.2022.
As of now, out of 06 ICF rakes of 12841/42 & 12839/40, the first 02 ICF rakes
will be converted to LHB. The rest 04 rakes shall continue to run with ICF composition
till 04.10.2022. The standardization of the rakes of 12841/42 & 12839/40 shall be
done by 05.10.2022.
Advantages of LHB coaches over ICF coaches:
 The LHB coaches can travel at a much higher speed than ICF coaches. The
maximum permissible speed for LHB coaches is 160 kmph, while the ICF coaches
are permitted to travel at a maximum speed of 110 kmph.
 The LHB coaches are anti-telescopic, which means that these coaches do not
penetrate into the adjacent coaches during accidents. The LHB coaches do not
climb onto adjacent coaches during collision or derailment because they use
Center Buffer Coupling (CBC) and not the Dual Buffer System used in ICF coaches.
 The LHB coaches are 1.7 meters longer than the conventional ICF coaches, which
enhances their seating capacity.
 The LHB coaches are equipped with FIAT bogie, which has lesser moving parts than
the ICF coaches.
 The LHB coaches are easier to haul because the weight per meter of these coaches
is less than the ICF coaches.
 LHB coaches are equipped with “Controlled Discharge Toilet System” (CDTS) and
Bio-toilets, which are environmentally friendly and they use “Advanced Pneumatic
Disc Brake System” for efficient braking at higher speeds.
 The noise generated by LHB coaches is 40% less than the ICF coaches and there air
conditioning is of higher capacity.
The conversion of rakes of these trains will definitely enhance the comfort and
safety factors for the travelling passengers.
