The agitation withdrawn at Bamra station, train service restored in Howrah-CKP-Mumbai section

The agitation was withdrawn at 16.30 hrs and normal train services are being gradually restored.  

SER TRAIN SERVICES AFFECTED DUE TO AGITATION

Kolkata, 22nd February, 2023:

South Eastern Railway train services have been affected in view of public agitation at Bamra Station in Chakradharpur Division today (22.02.2023) from 06.00 hrs. The agitators were demanding stoppages of Mail/Express Trains at Bamra.

The agitation was  staged inspite of the fact that four Mail/Express Trains viz. 13288/13287 Rajendranagar-Durg-Rajendranagar Express, 22839/22840 Rourkela-Bhubaneswar-Rourkela Express, 12833/12834 Ahmedabad-Howrah-Ahmedabad Express and 18477/18478 Puri – Yog Nagari Rishikesh – Puri Express have already been provided stoppage at Bamra  Station with effect from 17th/18th February, 2023.

 

As a result of the agitation, the train services of SER were regulated as under:

 

Cancellation of Trains on 22.02.2023:

  • 18125 Rourkela-Puri Express
  • 18109 Tatanagar-Itwari Express
  • 22839 Rourkela-Bhubaneswar Intercity Express
  • 18311 Sambalpur-Banaras Express
  • 22840 Bhubaneswar-Rourkela Intercity Express
  • 18176 Jharsuguda-Hatia MEMU
  • 18175 Hatia-Jharsuguda MEMU
  • 08168 Jharsuguda-Rourkela MEMU
  • 08167 Rourkela-Jharsuguda MEMU

Cancellation of Trains on 23.02.2023:

  • 18126 Puri-Rourkela Express

Short Termination/Short Origination of Trains:

  • 12871 Howrah-Titlagarh Express journey commencing on 22.02.2023 will be short terminated at Rourkela and service between Rourkela-Titlagarh will remain cancelled. The empty rake will run as Passenger Special from Rourkela to Howrah.
  • 22862 Kantabanji-Titlagarh-Howrah Express journey commencing on 22.02.2023 will be short terminated at Jharsuguda and service between Jharsuguda-Howrah will remain cancelled. The empty rake will run as Passenger Special from Jharsuguda to Kantabanji.
  • 18118 Gunupur-Rourkela Rajyarani Express journey commencing on 21.02.2023 will be short terminated at Jharsuguda Road.
  • 18452 Puri-Hatia Express journey commencing on 21.02.2023 will be short terminated at Jharsuguda.
  • 18110 Itwari-Tatanagar Express journey commencing on 22.02.2023 will be short terminated at Raipur.
  • 18451 Hatia-Puri Express journey commencing on 22.02.2023 will short originate from Jharsuguda and service between Hatia-Jharsuguda will remain cancelled.

  • 18126 Puri-Rourkela Express journey commencing on 22.02.2023 will be short terminated at Sambalpur.

Trains to run on normal path

  • 18005 Howrah-Jagdalpur Express journey commencing on 21.02.2023 which was earlier announced to be short terminated at Rajgangpur will now run on its scheduled route upto its scheduled destination.
  • 13287 Durg-Rajendranagar Express journey commencing on 22.02.2023 which was earlier announced to be short terminated at Bilaspur will now run on its scheduled route upto its scheduled destination.
  • 13288 Rajendranagar-Durg Express journey commencing on 21.02.2023 which was earlier announced to be short terminated at Tatanagar will now run on its scheduled route upto its scheduled destination.

Apart from this, some trains were run on diverted route.

Kharagpur Division                                                                22.02.2023

Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Tribal Affairs and Jal Shakti, Govt. Of India, Shri Bishweswar Tudu chaired a meeting on various railway related issues with divisional officers of Kharagpur Division and Zonal Officers from ECoR at Baripada Railway station on 22.02.2023.

Various public demands and railway related matters were discussed. The redevelopment plan of Baripada Railway station was also explained through presentation to the Hon’ble Union Minister. 

The Hon’ble Union Minister discussed various issues like alternatives for rail gates at Krishnachandrapur & Betnoti stations, extensions of trains, increase in frequency of trains, stoppages of trains at Basta, Buramara and other stations. 

During the said meeting, Shri Girish Kumar, ADRM Kharagpur along with Sri Rajesh Kumar, Sr. DCM/KGP, Sr. DOM(G)/KGP, Dy.COM (Coaching)/ECoR & Dy. CE (Con)/KGP were present from railway side. Hon’ble Union Minister also inspected Betnoti, Jamsole, Krishnachandrapur, Bhanjpur, Buramara & Bangriposi stations on way to Baripada station.
