बालेश्वर में बहनागा बाजार स्टेशन के पास डाउन  बेंगलुरु-हावड़ा एक्सप्रेस व अप कोरो मंडल एक्सप्रेस एक्सप्रेस दुर्घटनाग्रस्त हो गई। करमंडल एक्सप्रेस के तीन डिब्बों को छोड़कर सभी डिब्बे पटरी से उतरे. बचावकर्मियों की  टीमें खड़गपुर से दुर्घटनास्थल के लिए रवाना हुईं.
