खड़गपुर, आईआईटी पोस्ट आफिस में आज ” डाक घर निर्यात केंद्र” और “पार्सल पैकेजिंग यूनिट” का उद्घाटन दक्षिण बंगाल क्षेत्र की पोस्टमास्टर जनरल सुश्री शशि शालिनी कुजूर ने फीता काट व फलक अनवेल कर पारंपरिक तौर पर किया।
पोस्ट मास्टर जनरल शशि शालिनी कुजुर ने पत्रकारों से बात करते हुए कहा कि केंद्र सरकार देश भर में कुल 100 केंद्र खोलने जा रही है जिसमें से 22 बंगाल में खुलेंगे जबकि 6 दक्षिण बंगाल में खोला जा रहा है। जिसमें आईआईटी खड़गपुर के अलावा, झाड़ग्राम तमलुक, आसनसोल, श्रीरामपुर व बांकुड़ा शामिल है। कुजुर ने कहा कि हम कस्टम के सहयोग से विदेशों में पार्सल भेजेंगे। निर्यात केंद्र के अलावा पार्सल पैकेंजिग युनिट भी खोला गया। अब ग्राहकों के सामान का डाकघर के काउंटर में ही पैकेजिंग होगी। इससे ग्राहको को काफी सुविधा मिलेगी
कुजुर ने कहा कि इससे स्थानीय कारीगरों को मार्केटिंग करने में काफी सहूलियत होगी। उन्होने कहा कि छोटे व मध्यम उद्योगों को हम टारगेट कर रहे हैं। कुजुर ने कहा कि विस्फोचक व ज्वलनशील सामग्री को छोड़कर अन्य उत्पादों का निर्यात किया जाएगा। इस अवसर पर कुजुर ने निर्यात केंद्र में क्या करना है व क्या नहीं करना है यह भी बताया।
उन्होने कहा कि पार्सल अंग्रेजी में होनी चाहिए क्षेत्रीय भाषा का प्रयोग नहीं चलेगा। इसके अलावा ग्राहकों को बुकिंग के लिए केवाईसी लाना जरुरी है। कुजुर ने बताया कि पोस्ट आफिस की सेवाएं अन्य निजी कंपनियों की सेवाओं के मुकाबले सस्ती होगी।
इस अवसर पर आईआईटी खड़गपुर के वरिष्ठ पोस्टमास्टर ए.के. मोहंती ने कहा कि चूंकि पोस्टआफिस में कार्य बढ़ रहे हैं इसलिए जोरशोर से नियुक्तियां भी हो रही है। जिससे युवाओं को रोजगार मिलेगा। इस अवसर पर मिदनापुर पोस्टल डिवीजन के वरिष्ठ पोस्टमास्टर एस.सी. आचार्य व अन्य अधिकारी उपस्थित थे।

Mohanty, Sr. Superintendent of Midnapore Postal Division, Sri S.C. Acharya, Senior Postmaster, Midnapore Head Post Office, other officers and staffs of Midnapore Postal Division.
A dedicated counter for exporting materials to abroad, providing assistance for complete custom documentation, assistance in generation of Import Export Code(IEC) and filling of Postal Bill of Exports for dispatching products of the artisans, local producers and Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) as also dispatching of products to international destinations at cheaper rate as compared to other non-govt. logistic service providers to boost the small traders and also to provide single door service by provision of dedicated counter at Post Office was set up. A worldwide network of Postal Department will be available to open the scope to spread the business of the local traders and faster delivery of articles throughout the world.
