Introduction of Vande Bharat Express between Ranchi and Howrah

 

Kolkata, 22^nd  September, 2023:

Faster communication not only connects two places but also links dreams with reality and expands the possibilities of development. 20898/20897 Ranchi – Howrah – Ranchi Vande Bharat Express is going to be the fastest train connectivity between the two capital cities of Jharkhand and West Bengal. Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will virtually Flag Off the Ranchi-Howrah-Ranchi Vande Bharat Express on 24.09.2023.  The regular run of Ranchi-Howrah-Ranchi Vande Bharat Express will commence from 27.09.2023.

The indigenously designed train set of Vande Bharat Express is equipped with state-of-the-art passenger amenities. It will provide more comfortable and more convenient travel experience to rail users. The train will be immensely beneficial for the students, businessmen, tourists and entrepreneurs. Enhanced connectivity will also provide a boost to socio-economic development in the region.

 

20898/20897 Ranchi – Howrah- Ranchi Vande Bharat Express :

(6 days a week, except Tuesday)

 

20898 Ranchi – Howrah Vande Bharat Express will depart Ranchi at 05:15 hrs and will reach Howrah at 12:20 hrs the same day. In the return direction, 20897 Howrah-Ranchi Vande Bharat Express will depart Howrah at 15:45 hrs and will reach Ranchi at 22:50 hrs the same day.

The train will have stoppages at Muri, Kotshila, Purulia, Chandil, Tatanagar and Kharagpur  enroute.

REGULATION OF TRAINS DUE TO DEVELOPMENTAL WORKS IN ADRA DIVISION

Kolkata, 22nd September, 2023:

In view of Rolling Block in Adra Division of South Eastern Railway, the following trains will be regulated as under:

Cancellation of Trains:

1. 08680/08679 Adra-Midnapur-Adra MEMU Special, journey commencing on 26.09.2023, 29.09.2023 & 01.10.2023 will remain cancelled.

2. 08647/08648 Adra-Barabhum-Adra MEMU Special, journey commencing on 26.09.2023, 28.09.2023 & 01.10.2023 will remain cancelled.

Short Termination/Short Origination of Trains:

1. 08174/08652 Tatanagar-Asansol-Barabhum MEMU Special, journey commencing on 25.09.2023 to 01.10.2023 will be short terminated at/short originated from Adra.

2. 18035/18036 Kharagpur-Hatia-Kharagpur Express, journey commencing on 26.09.2023, 28.09.2023 & 01.10.2023 will be short terminated at/short originated from Adra.

3. 03594/03593 Asansol-Purulia-Asansol MEMU Special, journey commencing on 25.09.2023, 26.09.2023, 28.09.2023 & 01.10.2023 will be short terminated at/short originated from Adra.

Diversion of Train:

1. 18601 Tatanagar-Hatia Express, journey commencing on 25.09.2023 to 01.10.2023 will run on diverted route via Chandil-Gunda Bihar-Muri.

Rescheduling of Trains:

1. 18036 Hatia-Kharagpur Express, journey commencing on 25.09.2023, 27.09.2023, & 29.09.2023 will be rescheduled to leave Hatia at 11.20 hrs. instead of 09.20 hrs.

2. 18036 Hatia-Kharagpur Express, journey commencing on 30.09.2023 will be rescheduled to leave Hatia at 12.20 hrs. instead of 09.20 hrs.
