खड़गपुर,  खरीदा लेवल क्रासिंग बंद करने की अनुमति को लेकर राज्य सरकार को चिट्ठी लिखी गई है डीएम की जवाब का इंतजार है जिसके बाद लेवल क्रासिंग बंद किया जाएगा यह कहना है खड़गपुर के डीआरएम के आर चौधरी का। डीआरएम चौधरी आज शाम अपने सभाकक्ष में संवाददाओं को संबोधित करते हुए उक्त बातें कही। डीआरएम ने कहा कि आरओबी बनाए जाने के बाद फिर आसपास में सब-वे या कुछ और बनाए जाने का प्रावधान नहीं है व आरोबी बनाए ही इसीलिए जाते हैं ताकि आसपास के लेवल क्रॉसिंग को बंद किया जाए। उन्होने विरोधी दलों के इस आरोप से इंकार किया कि लोकसभा  चुनाव को देखते हुए फिलहाल लेवल क्रासिंग बंद नहीं किया गया उन्होने माना कि प्रकियागत कारण से देर हुई है विकास कार्यों का चुनाव से कोई लेना देना नहीं होता यह सतत प्रक्रिया है।

उन्होने कहा कि टाउन थाना ओवरब्रिज का काम पूरा हो चुका है जिसका जल्द औपचारिक उद्घाटन किया जाएगा हांलाकि अभी तारीख तय नहीं हुई है उन्होने कहा कि टाउन थाना के बगल में बन रहे आरओबी का काम भी अगले तीन चार महीने में पूरा हो जाएगा। क्रंस्ट्रक्शन का काम चल रहा है पिलर लग चुके हैं। उक्त पुल के बन जाने से उम्मीद है कि टाउन थाना के समक्ष लगने वाले भीड़ से भी छुटकारा पाया जा सकेगा.

डीआरएम ने पत्रकारों से सवालों का जवाब देते हुए कहा कि अतिक्रमण हटाने को लेकर प्रशासन दलगत भेदभाव नहीं करती। ज्ञात हो कि बीते दिनों इंटक नेता का कार्यालय वार्ड 22 में ढहा देने के बाद टीमसी राजनीतिक पक्षपात का आरोप लगा रही है।

डीआरएम चौधरी ने ट्रेनों में आतिशबाजी व ज्वलनशील सामग्री ना ले जाने की सलाह देते हुए कहा कि त्यौहारों का मौसम होने के कारण कई लोग जाने आनजाने उक्त तरह का कार्य़ करते है जिससे दुर्घटनाओं की संभावना रहती है उन्होने कहा कि अक्टूबर महीने से आतिशबाजी व ज्वलनशील पदार्थों को लेकर रेल प्रशासन विशेष अभियान चला रही है जो भी लोग दोषी पाए गए उनलोगों के खिलाफ कार्रवाई की जाएगी। स्टेशनों में उद्घोषणा के अलावा  ट्रेनों में आऱपीएफ कार्रवाई कर रही है उक्त कार्ऱवाई में कुछ अवैध हाकरो के स्टोव वगैरह भी जब्त किए गए हैं हांलाकि विस्फोटक की बरामदगी खड़गपुर रेल मंडल में नहीं हुई है। इस अवसर पर सीनियर डीसीएम ओम प्रकाश चरण व सीनियर डीएससी आऱपीएफ ओंकार सिंह मौजूद थे।

SER LAUNCHES INTENSIVE DRIVE AGAINST

CARRYING OF INFLAMMABLE ARTICLES IN TRAINS

 

Kolkata, 17th November, 2023:

 

During this ongoing festive season, Ministry of Railways has issued instructions to Zonal Railways to conduct drive against carriage of inflammable items across the Railways network. To make the train journey safer, Railways has urged passengers to be careful and not to carry and also not let their co-passengers carry inflammable objects while travelling in trains.

Shri Aditya Kumar Chaudhary, Chief Public Relations Officer, South Eastern Railway held a Press Conference at SER Headquarters, Garden Reach today (17.11.2023) about SER’s intensive drive against carrying of inflammable articles in trains.

South Eastern Railway has launched intensive awareness drive for the passengers. Regular announcements are being made at Railway stations making an appeal not to carry inflammable and explosive objects like firecrackers, gas cylinders, acid, petrol, kerosene, etc. in trains during journey.

Drives are being conducted at Kharagpur, Shalimar, Santragachi, Balasore, Panskura, Mecheda, Digha stations in Kharagpur Division and at Purulia, Bokaro Steel City, Bishnupur and Adra stations in Adra Division. Drives are also being conducted at Ranchi, Hatia and Muri stations in Ranchi Division and at Tatanagar, Rourkela, Chakradharpur and Jharsuguda stations in Chakradharpur Division.

Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Government Railway Police (GRP) personnel have been alerted. Luggage and parcel items are being scanned thoroughly before loading.

Public awareness campaigns are also being conducted encouraging rail passengers to take preventive measures to avert fire incidents.

 

South Eastern Railway appeals to Railway passengers not to carry any inflammable materials like gas cylinders, petrol, diesel, kerosene, stoves, match boxes, cigarette lighters etc and any detonating substances including firecrackers.

Kharagpur, A letter has been written to the state government regarding permission to close the level crossing at Kharagpur. The DM’s reply is awaited, after which the level crossing will be closed, says KR Choudhary, DRM, Kharagpur. DRM Chaudhary told that addressing media in his conference room this evening. DRM said that after the ROB is built, there is no provision to build a subway or anything else in the vicinity and ROBs are built only to close the nearby level crossings.

He denied the allegation of the opposition parties that the level crossing has not been closed in view of the Lok Sabha elections. He accepted that there has been a delay due to procedural reasons. Development works have nothing to do with elections, it is a continuous process.

 

He said that the  Town thana Overbridge has been completed, which will be formally inaugurated soon, although the date has not been decided yet. He said that the work of the ROB being built next to the Town thana will also be completed in the next three to four months within March. Construction work is going on, pillars have been installed. With the construction of the said bridge, it is expected that the crowd in front of the kgp Town Police Station will also be relieved.

While answering the questions from the journalists, DRM said that the administration does not discriminate on party lines while removing encroachments. Let it be known that after recently demolishing the office of INNTUC leader in Ward 22, TMC is alleging political bias.

While advising against carrying fireworks and inflammable materials in trains, DRM Choudhary said that since it is the festive season, many people do such things knowingly or unknowingly due to which there is a possibility of accidents. He said that from the month of October, there will be a ban on carrying fireworks and inflammable materials. Railway administration is running a special campaign regarding this and action will be taken against those found guilty. Apart from announcement in stations, RPF is taking action in trains. In the said action, some stoves etc. have also been seized, however explosives have not been recovered in Kharagpur Railway Division. Om Prakash Charan Senior DCM  and Senior Onkar Singh Senior DSC RPF were also present on this occasion.
