·      This year Holi festival will be celebrated on 25.03.2024 as against last year Holi festival celebrated on 08.03.2023.
·       There is expected to be a heavy rush during Holi period and generally the movement of public starts from 4 days prior to Holi and lasts till 4-5 days after Holi. Indian Railways plans Holi special trains from different parts of the country to clear the anticipated rush every year.
·       571 Holi special services are being planned/run this year during Holi festival vis-a-vis 321 services during last year i.e., 78% increase.
·       During Holi rush period, 1098 Special trains (TOD- Train On Demand) are available/are already running this year vis-à-vis 720 Special trains during last year i.e., 52% increase.
·       Additional capacity of about 30 lacs passengers are made be available for clearing Holi rush.
·       Additional 11 unreserved  rakes are being planned from major cities like Mumbai, Surat, Ahmedabad, Delhi, Patna etc to meet the last-minute rush or passengers traveling during the Holi festival.
·       In addition to the above arrangements ,  average 1400 Regular trains per day are being run for clearing rush in different parts- UP, Bihar, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Delhi, MP etc. of country.
·       Round the clock monitoring at apex level
·       Additional deployment of security for crowd management.

 

MORE HOLI SPECIAL TRAINS

 

Kolkata, 22nd March, 2024

 

 

Keeping in view the extra rush of the passengers during Holi Festival, it has been decided to run Secunderabad-Santragachi-Secunderabad, Coimbatore-Patna-Coimbatore and MGR Chennai Central-Santragachi Holi Special Trains as per the following schedule:

 

07645/07646 SECUNDERABAD-SANTRAGACHI-SECUNDERABAD HOLI SPECIAL

 

07645 Secunderabad-Santragachi Holi Special will leave Secunderabad on 23.03.2024 at 21.05 hrs and will arrive Santragachi at 00.15 hrs on 25.03.2024. In the return direction, 07646 Santragachi-Secunderabad Holi Special will leave Santragachi on 25.03.2024 at 05.45 hrs and will reach Secunderabad at 08.10 hrs on 26.03.2024.

The Special train will have stoppages at Baleshwar and Kharagpur in South Eastern Railway jurisdiction.

 

06093/06094 COIMBATORE-PATNA-COIMBATORE HOLI SPECIAL

 

06093 Coimbatore-Patna Holi Special will leave Coimbatore on 22.03.2024 at 21.45 hrs and will arrive Patna at 20.00 hrs on 24.03.2024. In the return direction, 06094 Patna-Coimbatore Holi Special will leave Patna on 27.03.2024 at 14.00 hrs and will reach Coimbatore at 11.00 hrs on 29.03.2024.

 

The Special train will have stoppages at Baleshwar, Hijli, Midnapore, Bishnupur, Bankura and Adra in South Eastern Railway jurisdiction.

 

06095/06096 MGR CHENNAI CENTRAL-SANTRAGACHI-MGR CHENNAI CENTRAL HOLI SPECIAL

 

06095 MGR Chennai Central-Santragachi Holi Special will leave MGR Chennai Central on 22.03.2024 at 23.20 hrs and will arrive Santragachi at 07.15 hrs on 24.03.2024. In the return direction, 06096 Santragachi-MGR Chennai Central Holi Special will leave Santragachi on 24.03.2024 at 10.00 hrs and will reach MGR Chennai Central at 15.30 hrs on 25.03.2024.

 

The Special train will have stoppages at Baleshwar and Kharagpur in South Eastern Railway jurisdiction.

 

TEMPORARY STOPPAGE OF TRAINS AT POSOITA

 

Kolkata, 21st March, 2024:

One Minute temporary stoppage will be provided at Posoita Station of the following trains from 22.03.2024 to 26.03.2024  in view of  Annual Free Medical Camp of Adhyatik Uthan Mandal Nyas at Posoita :-

 

  • 13287/13288 Durg-Ara-Durg South Bihar Express
  • 18477/18478 Puri-Yog Nagari Rishikesh-Puri  Utkal Express
  • 12871/12872 Howrah-Titlagarh-Howrah Ispat Express
  • 22861/22862 Howrah-Kantabanji-Howrah Ispat Express

 

 

CONTINUATION OF SPECIAL TRAINS

With a view to clear the extra rush of passengers, it has been decided to continue the running of following Special trains as per the given schedule:-

 

  • 08185  Hatia-Durg Special will continue to run till 27.06.2024
  • 08186  Durg- Hatia Special will continue to run till 28.06.2024
  • 02837  Santragachi-Puri Special will continue to run till 28.06.2024
  • 02838  Puri-Santragachi Special will continue to run till 29.06.2024
  • 08011  Bhanjpur-Puri Special will continue to run till 29.06.2024
  • 08012  Puri-Bhanjpur Special will continue to run till 30.06.2024
  • 08007  Shalimar-Bhanjpur Special will continue to run till 29.06.2024
  • 08008  Bhanjpur-Shalimar Special will continue to run till 01.07.2024
