More than Australian and New Zealand population has been carried by Indian Railways in 24 hrs time

65 lakh passengers have been facilitated by Railways during 1st of October to 5th of Nov through special trains

Approx 7.5 cr passengers carried to BIhar, East UP and Jharkhad during 1st of October to 5th of Nov through special trains

  • Monday ie 04/011/2024 highest no of passengers carried by IR in a single day time.
  • Three crore passengers boarded railways which is more than the population of Australian and New Zealand combined.

○        120.72 lakh (19.43 lakh reserved and 101.29 unreserved non-suburban) passengers were carried on 4th November 2024.

○        180 lakh Suburban traffic tacked IR

○        This is the highest single day passenger figures for the current year.

  • For the Pooja/ Diwali/ Chath rush 2024, a total of 7,666 special train services have been notified between 1st October 2024 to 30th November 2024. In the same period last year 4,429 trips were operated. This is 73% more than last year.
  • Till date 4521 Spl trains run from 1 st of October to 5 th of November. 65 lakh passengers have been facilitated by Railways during this period in special trains .
  • No of specials run

○    on 3rd November : 207 trains

○    on 4th November : 203 trains

○    On 5th November :171 trains

○    Today on 6th November Planning is to run 164 spl trains

○    Tomorrow on 7 th Nov plan is to run 164 trains

 

 

  • CHHATH return rush will start after Morning sun arg on 8th. These are notified. Other than this on the basis of local demand and rush unannounced trains are being planned at Samastipur division and Danapur Division

SER FESTIVAL SPECIAL TRAINS TO DEPART ON 07.11.2024

With a view to clear the extra rush of passengers, SER is running festival special trains towards different directions. The schedule of special trains which will depart on 07.11.2024 from SER jurisdiction is given below:

Railways have made special arrangements at stations for convenience of the passengers. Passengers are being allowed to enter the train in a queue supervised by RPF personnel. Frequent announcements are made at stations. Railway staff are providing all assistance for smooth journey of the passengers.
