खड़गपुर GRP मुख्यालय में “अंतर्राष्ट्रीय नशा उन्मूलन एवं अवैध तस्करी विरोध दिवस” मनाया गया
“अंतर्राष्ट्रीय नशा उन्मूलन एवं अवैध तस्करी विरोध दिवस” आज खड़गপুর GRP मुख्यालय में उत्साह और जागरूकता के साथ मनाया गया। इस कार्यक्रम का आयोजन सामाजिक संस्था “सुदर्शन” (NGO) के सहयोग से किया गया।
कार्यक्रम की शुरुआत सुबह जिला के EF लाइंस क्षेत्र में छात्रों के लिए आयोजित “बैठो और चित्र बनाओ” प्रतियोगिता से हुई, जिसमें बच्चों ने चित्रों के माध्यम से नशा विरोधी संदेश प्रस्तुत किया। इसके बाद एक रैली निकाली गई, जो खड़गपुर रेलवे स्टेशन के प्लेटफार्मों से होती हुई जिला मुख्यालय पुलिस लाइंस में समाप्त हुई।
रैली के बाद जागरूकता कार्यक्रम आयोजित किया गया, जिसमें प्रसिद्ध डॉक्टरों ने अपने विचार साझा किए। उपस्थित वक्ताओं में मेडिका हॉस्पिटल कोलकाता के डॉ. तनमय मित्रा, BNI ग्रुप ऑफ हॉस्पिटल्स कोलकाता के CEO डॉ. सुभ्रतो सिन्हा, खड़गपुर SD हॉस्पिटल के डॉ. बी.ए. राव, और जेवियर इंटरनेशनल पब्लिक स्कूल के प्राचार्य श्री सैमुअल दास शामिल थे। SRP, खड़गपुर और अन्य गणमान्य अतिथि भी इस अवसर पर उपस्थित थे।
सभी वक्ताओं ने नशे की लत और अवैध तस्करी से होने वाले खतरों पर प्रकाश डाला। इस विषय पर पुलिस कर्मियों और NGO के सदस्यों द्वारा एक प्रभावशाली नाटक भी प्रस्तुत किया गया, जिसने उपस्थित लोगों को भावुक कर दिया।
कार्यक्रम का समापन SRP खड़गपुर देबश्री सान्याल द्वारा शपथ दिलाकर किया गया, जिसमें सभी प्रतिभागियों ने नशा और तस्करी के विरुद्ध प्रतिबद्धता व्यक्त की।
International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking Observed at Kharagpur GRP HQ
Kharagpur, June 26: The International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking was observed with great enthusiasm and awareness at the Kharagpur GRP Headquarters today. The event was organised in collaboration with the NGO Sudarshan and aimed at spreading awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse and the dangers of illegal trafficking.
The day began with a “Sit and Draw” competition held in the EF Lines of the District, where students creatively expressed their understanding of the theme through artwork. Following this, a rally was conducted that passed through the platforms of Kharagpur Railway Station and concluded at the District Headquarters Police Lines.
An awareness programme followed the rally, where distinguished speakers shared their insights. Eminent doctors including Dr. Tanmoy Mitra from Medica Hospital Kolkata, Dr. Subrata Sinha, CEO of BNI Group of Hospitals, Kolkata, and Dr. B.A. Rao of Kharagpur SD Hospital addressed the gathering. Shri Samuel Das, Principal of Xavier International Public School, along with SRP, Kharagpur and other dignitaries were also present.
The speakers highlighted the risks of drug abuse and the societal impact of illicit trafficking. A powerful drama was also staged by police personnel in association with Sudarshan NGO, conveying a strong message against drug misuse.
The event concluded with all participants taking a solemn oath against drug abuse, led by the SRP, Kharagpur.
