प्रधानमंत्री श्री स्कूल केंद्रीय विद्यालय क्र. 2 खड़गपुर में मनाया गया FIFA का ‘फुटबॉल फॉर स्कूल्स’ कार्यक्रम
उत्साह और जोश से भरपूर माहौल में पश्चिम मिदनापुर स्थित केंद्रीय विद्यालय क्र. 2 खड़गपुर में 29 जून 2025 को FIFA के ‘फुटबॉल फॉर स्कूल्स (F4S)’ कार्यक्रम का आयोजन किया गया। यह पहल शिक्षा मंत्रालय, भारत सरकार और FIFA के संयुक्त प्रयास से चलाई जा रही है, जिसका उद्देश्य स्कूल शिक्षा में फुटबॉल को शामिल कर विद्यार्थियों को सशक्त बनाना है।
इस कार्यक्रम का आयोजन पश्चिम बंगाल के सभी जिलों को कवर करते हुए 21 केंद्रीय विद्यालयों में एक साथ किया गया। राज्य भर में कुल 88,113 फुटबॉल वितरित किए जाएंगे। आज का कार्यक्रम सिर्फ फुटबॉल वितरण तक सीमित नहीं रहा, बल्कि यह अनुशासन, टीम भावना, शारीरिक फिटनेस और आत्मविश्वास जैसे गुणों को विद्यार्थियों में रोपने का एक प्रेरणादायक प्रयास रहा। पश्चिम मिदनापुर जिले के 1003 स्कूलों में 6,866 FIFA-मानक फुटबॉल वितरित किए जा रहे हैं।
इस अवसर की शोभा बढ़ाई पूर्व सांसद श्री दिलीप घोष ने, जिन्होंने शिक्षा के साथ खेलों के समन्वय को विद्यार्थियों के समग्र विकास के लिए आवश्यक बताया। कार्यक्रम में दीप प्रज्वलन, स्वागत गीत, प्राचार्य द्वारा स्वागत भाषण, स्वागत नृत्य, फुटबॉल वितरण, गोपाली हाई स्कूल के छात्र मयूर बेড়া द्वारा अनुभव साझा करना, डॉ. सुभ्रत कुमार पान (सहायक सचिव, डीएसए) का प्रेरणादायक भाषण, मुख्य अतिथि श्री दिलीप घोष का संबोधन, प्रधानाध्यापिका द्वारा धन्यवाद ज्ञापन और अंत में प्रतीकात्मक किक-ऑफ एवं 9-साइड फुटबॉल प्रदर्शनी मैच (प्रधानमंत्री श्री केवी क्र. 2 खड़गपुर बनाम गोपाली हाई स्कूल) का आयोजन हुआ, जिसमें शिक्षक, कर्मचारी और विद्यार्थी पूरे उत्साह से शामिल हुए।
प्रधानाचार्य श्री संग्राम बनर्जी ने राज्यव्यापी आयोजन की विस्तृत जानकारी दी और बताया कि इस पहल का उद्देश्य देश के प्रत्येक बच्चे तक खेल को पहुँचाना है।
मुख्य अतिथि श्री दिलीप घोष ने शिक्षा मंत्रालय और FIFA के इस संयुक्त प्रयास की सराहना करते हुए इसे युवाओं की प्रतिभा को जमीनी स्तर से विकसित करने की दिशा में एक बड़ा कदम बताया।
अतिथि विशेष डॉ. सुभ्रत कुमार पान ने कहा, “अभ्यास का कोई विकल्प नहीं होता।”
F4S कार्यक्रम के तहत, FIFA जनवरी 2025 तक भारत सहित 129 देशों के स्कूली छात्रों के लिए 9.6 लाख से अधिक फुटबॉल वितरित कर रहा है। ओडिशा में 2024 में इस कार्यक्रम की सफलता के बाद अब पश्चिम बंगाल में इसका आयोजन किया जा रहा है, जो स्कूली स्तर से भारत में खेल संस्कृति को बढ़ावा देने की दिशा में एक राष्ट्रीय आंदोलन बन गया है।
आज केंद्रीय शिक्षा मंत्री श्री धर्मेंद्र प्रधान ने कोलकाता के फोर्ट विलियम स्थित प्रधानमंत्री श्री केंद्रीय विद्यालय में FIFA फुटबॉल वितरण के शुभारंभ कार्यक्रम की अध्यक्षता की। यह कार्यक्रम शिक्षा मंत्रालय और ऑल इंडिया फुटबॉल फेडरेशन (AIFF) द्वारा संयुक्त रूप से आयोजित किया गया। कोलकाता जिले के 349 स्कूलों में आज के कार्यक्रम में 2487 FIFA फुटबॉल वितरित किए गए।

Celebrates FIFA’s Football for Schools Initiative
KHARAGPUR
In a vibrant display of enthusiasm and energy, Kendriya Vidyalaya No.2 KHARAGPUR located in PASCHIM MEDINIPUR joined the celebration of the FIFA Football for Schools (F4S) program on 29 June 2025. This initiative, a joint collaboration between Ministry of Education, Government of India and FIFA aims to empower school children by integrating football into the education system. The programme was organised in 21 Kendriya Vidyalayas, simultaneously, covering all districts of West Bengal. In total, 88,113 footballs will be distributed across the state. Today’s event is not merely about the distribution of footballs; it’s about sowing seeds of discipline, teamwork, fitness, and confidence across 1003 schools in Paschim Medinipur, with 6,866 FIFA-quality footballs being handed over to the future of our nation.
The event was graced by Shri. Dilip Ghosh Ex.Member of Parliament who emphasized the importance of combining sports with education for holistic development. The event featured Lighting of the Lamp, Welcome Song, welcome address by the Principal, welcome dance, distribution of football, sharing of experience by Mayur Bera a student of Gopali High School, enlightenment by Guest of Honour Dr. Subrata Kumar Pan, Asstt. Secretary DSA , keynote by Chief Guest Shri. Dilip Ghosh Ex.Member of Parliament, vote of thanks by Head Mistress and finally the symbolic kick-off and 9 side friendly exihibition football match between PM Shri KV NO. 2 Kharagpur and Gopali High School and we witnessed the participation of students and teachers/staff wholeheartedly.
Principal Shri. Sangram Banerjee PM SHRI KV2, KHARAGPUR elaborated the Statewide conduct of football for school event and its motto to reach out to all children of the country.
In his address, the Chief Guest Shri Dilip Ghosh applauded the collaborative effort of MoE and FIFA in nurturing young talent through grassroots engagement.

Under the F4S program, FIFA is contributing more than 9.6 lakh footballs for school students of India besides 129 other countries (as of January 2025). Building on the success of earlier rollouts in states like Odisha in 2024, the F4S program in West Bengal is part of a nationwide movement underscoring India’s commitment to nurturing a sporting culture from the school level.
Today, Union Minister for Education, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, presided over the Kick-off programme for the distribution of FIFA footballs as part of the Football for Schools (F4S) at PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya, Fort William, Kolkata, West Bengal. The event was organised by the Ministry of Education and the All India Football Federation (AIFF). At the event organized today at Fort William, Kolkata, 2487 FIFA footballs were distributed to 349 schools in Kolkata district.
