झाड़ग्राम: माता-पिता की हत्या मामला , सुसाइड नोट से चौंकाने वाला खुलासा

झाड़ग्राम। पश्चिम मिदनापुर जिले के झाड़ग्राम में एक सनसनीखेज घटना सामने आई है। राज्य पुलिस की जंगलीमहल बटालियन में तैनात उप-निरीक्षक जयदेव चट्टोपाध्याय (32) ने बुधवार रात अपने पिता देबब्रत चट्टोपाध्याय (62) और मां शम्पा चट्टोपाध्याय (50) को सर्विस रिवॉल्वर से गोली मार दी। इसके बाद उसने खुद को भी गोली मार ली, लेकिन वह गंभीर रूप से घायल अवस्था में बच गया।

घटना के बाद जयदेव को पहले झाड़ग्राम मेडिकल कॉलेज में भर्ती कराया गया, जहां से हालत बिगड़ने पर उसे कोलकाता स्थानांतरित किया गया। पुलिस को घटनास्थल से एक सुसाइड नोट मिला है, जिसमें लिखा है – “मुझे यह जीवन पसंद नहीं, मेरी मौत के बाद मेरे माता-पिता की देखभाल कौन करेगा?”

पुलिस की प्राथमिक जांच के अनुसार, देबब्रत मानसिक समस्याओं से जूझ रहे थे और शम्पा की तबीयत भी लंबे समय से ठीक नहीं थी। जयदेव दोनों की देखभाल करता था और अपने सहकर्मियों के बीच शांत और मेहनती अधिकारी के रूप में जाना जाता था।

बुधवार रात पुलिस जब घटनास्थल पर पहुँची तो एक कमरे में देबब्रत का शव बिस्तर पर पड़ा मिला, वहीं दूसरे कमरे में शम्पा मृत अवस्था में मिलीं। किसी तरह के संघर्ष के निशान नहीं थे, जिससे अंदेशा है कि दोनों की नींद में हत्या की गई।

जयदेव ने 2019 में पुलिस सेवा जॉइन की थी। उसका परिवार पहले आसनसोल रेलवे कॉलोनी में रहता था। उसके पिता रेलवे से सेवानिवृत्त कर्मचारी थे। फिलहाल पुलिस यह जांच कर रही है कि जयदेव किसी मानसिक दबाव या अवसाद से गुजर रहा था या नहीं।

Jhargram, West Bengal – A shocking incident has surfaced in Jhargram where State Police Sub-Inspector of the Jangalmahal Battalion, Joydev Chatterjee (32), allegedly shot his father Debabrata Chatterjee (62) and mother Shampa Chatterjee (50) to death with his service revolver on Wednesday night before attempting to end his own life.

Joydev shot himself in the neck but survived in a critical condition. He was first admitted to Jhargram Medical College and later shifted to Kolkata as his condition worsened.

A suicide note was recovered from the spot, in which Joydev wrote: “I don’t like this life anymore. Who will take care of my parents after my death?”

Police sources revealed that Debabrata had been suffering from mental health issues for the past few years, while Shampa’s health was also poor. Joydev was the sole caretaker of both parents. Colleagues described him as hardworking and calm, with a strong emotional bond with his parents.

When investigators reached the rented house, they found Debabrata lying dead in one room and Shampa’s body in another. There were no signs of resistance, leading police to believe both were shot in their sleep. Joydev’s injured body was also discovered at the spot.

Joydev joined the police force in 2019. His father was a retired railway employee, and the family originally lived in the railway colony of Asansol before moving to Jhargram. Police are now investigating whether Joydev was battling depression or other psychological stress that may have driven him to this extreme step.
