390 बेटिकट यात्रियों से 2 लाख 53 हजार 635 की वसूली
Special Ticket Checking Drive Conducted by Kharagpur Division
Kharagpur, December 27, 2025:
Kharagpur Division of South Eastern Railway conducted a special ticket checking drive today across multiple trains and stations to curb ticketless and irregular travel and to ensure compliance with railway rules.
The intensive drive was carried out on major sections including Kharagpur–Howrah, Kharagpur–Baleshwar and Kharagpur–Tata, covering the following trains:
Train Nos.:
22504, 12842, 12841, 12021, 22892, 12703, 12704, 12828, 12860, 12074, 12073, 12859, 22877 and 18044.
During the drive, 390 cases of ticketless and irregular ticket travel were detected. A total penalty amount of ₹2,53,635 was realised from the offenders as per Railway rules.
The special drive was conducted by ticket checking staff with the objective of promoting fair travel practices, protecting the interests of bona fide passengers and enhancing passenger convenience and safety.
Such ticket checking drives will continue on a regular basis across the Division to discourage unauthorised travel and to ensure a safe, disciplined and comfortable journey for all passengers.
