08871/08872 NSCB Itwari-Shalimar-NSCB Itwari Special:

08871 NSCB Itwari-Shalimar Special will leave NSCB Itwari every Monday from 26.01.2026 to 09.02.2026 at 17.10 hrs and will reach Shalimar at 14.00 hrs, the next day. In the return direction, 08872 Shalimar-NSCB Itwari Special will leave Shalimar every Tuesday from 27.01.2026 to 10.02.2026 at 18:00 hrs and will arrive NSCB Itwari at 15.35 hrs, the next day.

The Special train will have stoppages at Jharsuguda, Rourkela, Chakradharpur, Tatanagar, Kharagpur and Santragachi in SER jurisdiction.

Patriotic Programme Celebrates 150 Years of “Vande Mataram” at Kharagpur Railway Station

Kharagpur, January 22, 2026:

As part of the Republic Day Celebrations–2026, Kharagpur Division organized a patriotic programme on January 22, 2026, at the Circulating Area of Kharagpur Railway Station to commemorate 150 years of the iconic patriotic song “Vande Mataram.”

The programme commenced with the soulful and resonant rendition of “Vande Mataram,” which instantly filled the station premises with a spirit of national pride and unity. Passengers, railway staff, and members of the general public joined together in celebrating the timeless legacy of the song that has inspired generations of Indians.

The event was graced by the presence of Shri Lalit Mohan Pandey, Divisional Railway Manager (DRM), Kharagpur Division, Ms. Maneesha Goel, Additional Divisional Railway Manager (ADRM), Shri Prakash Kumar Panda, Senior Divisional Security Commissioner (Sr. DSC)/KGP, Shri Nishant Kumar, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager/KGP, Vice Principal, Zonal Training Institute (ZTI), Kharagpur, along with other senior officers and dignitaries of Kharagpur Division.

Addressing the gathering, Shri Lalit Mohan Pandey, DRM/Kharagpur, said,

“‘Vande Mataram’ is not just a song; it is an emotion that binds every Indian. Celebrating its 150 years at a place as vibrant and diverse as Kharagpur Railway Station reflects Indian Railways’ commitment to nurturing patriotism and national unity. Such programmes strengthen our collective resolve to serve the country with integrity, discipline, and pride.””

A large number of media representatives, local citizens, railway officers and staff, and RPF personnel of Kharagpur Post actively participated in the programme, making it a memorable and inspiring celebration.

The event concluded on a high note, reinforcing the spirit of nationalism and paying tribute to the enduring legacy of “Vande Mataram” as the nation moves towards Republic Day 2026.

गणतंत्र दिवस समारोह–2026 के अंतर्गत खड़गपुर मंडल द्वारा 22 जनवरी 2026 को दक्षिण पूर्व रेलवे के खड़गपुर रेलवे स्टेशन के परिसंचरण क्षेत्र में देशभक्ति कार्यक्रम का आयोजन किया गया। यह कार्यक्रम प्रतिष्ठित देशभक्ति गीत ‘वंदे मातरम्’ के 150 वर्ष पूर्ण होने के उपलक्ष्य में आयोजित किया गया।

कार्यक्रम का शुभारंभ ‘वंदे मातरम्’ की भावपूर्ण और गूंजती हुई प्रस्तुति के साथ हुआ, जिसने स्टेशन परिसर को राष्ट्रीय गौरव और एकता की भावना से ओत-प्रोत कर दिया। यात्रियों, रेलवे कर्मचारियों तथा आम नागरिकों ने एक साथ मिलकर इस कालजयी गीत की विरासत का उत्सव मनाया, जिसने पीढ़ियों से देशवासियों को प्रेरित किया है।

इस अवसर पर श्री ललित मोहन पांडेय, मंडल रेल प्रबंधक (डीआरएम), खड़गपुर मंडल, सुश्री मनीषा गोयल, अपर मंडल रेल प्रबंधक (एडीआरएम), श्री प्रकाश कुमार पांडा, वरिष्ठ मंडल सुरक्षा आयुक्त (आरपीएफ)/खड़गपुर, श्री निशांत कुमार, वरिष्ठ मंडल वाणिज्य प्रबंधक/खड़गपुर, उप-प्रधानाचार्य, जोनल प्रशिक्षण संस्थान (जेडटीआई), खड़गपुर, सहित खड़गपुर मंडल के अन्य वरिष्ठ अधिकारी एवं गणमान्य व्यक्ति उपस्थित रहे।

सभा को संबोधित करते हुए श्री ललित मोहन पांडेय, डीआरएम/खड़गपुर ने कहा, –

“‘वंदे मातरम्’ केवल एक गीत नहीं, बल्कि एक ऐसा भाव है जो प्रत्येक भारतीय को एक सूत्र में बांधता है। खड़गपुर रेलवे स्टेशन जैसे जीवंत और विविधतापूर्ण स्थल पर इसके 150 वर्ष का उत्सव मनाना, भारतीय रेल की देशभक्ति और राष्ट्रीय एकता के प्रति प्रतिबद्धता को दर्शाता है। ऐसे कार्यक्रम देश की सेवा ईमानदारी, अनुशासन और गौरव के साथ करने के हमारे सामूहिक संकल्प को और अधिक सुदृढ़ करते हैं।”

कार्यक्रम में बड़ी संख्या में मीडिया प्रतिनिधि, स्थानीय नागरिक, रेलवे अधिकारी एवं कर्मचारी तथा खड़गपुर पोस्ट के आरपीएफ कर्मियों ने उत्साहपूर्वक भाग लिया, जिससे यह आयोजन स्मरणीय एवं प्रेरणादायी बन गया।
