खड़गपुर रेल मंडल में ‘स्वच्छता अभियान’ का आयोजन
खड़गपुर: दक्षिण पूर्व रेलवे के खड़गपुर मंडल में स्वतंत्रता दिवस के अवसर पर ‘स्वच्छता अभियान’ की शुरुआत की गई। रेलवे परिसर और रेलवे कॉलोनियों में सफाई और स्वास्थ्य के महत्व को फैलाने के लिए इस पहल को आगे बढ़ाया गया।
शुक्रवार को खड़गपुर स्थित एसईआरएसए स्टेडियम से मंडल रेल प्रबंधक (डीआरएम) ललित मोहन पांडे ने प्रभात फेरी को हरी झंडी दिखाकर रवाना किया। स्काउट्स-गाइड्स के साथ रेलवे कर्मचारी और स्थानीय लोग इस रैली में शामिल हुए।
इस आयोजन का मुख्य संदेश था “स्वच्छ रेल, स्वच्छ भारत”। रेलवे के विभिन्न स्टेशन, कार्यालय और आवासीय क्षेत्रों में स्वच्छता बनाए रखने के लिए लोगों को जागरूक करने के उद्देश्य से यह कार्यक्रम आयोजित किया गया।
रेलवे प्रशासन ने बताया कि स्वतंत्रता दिवस समारोह के हिस्से के रूप में आने वाले कुछ दिनों तक अलग-अलग जगहों पर सफाई अभियान चलाया जाएगा।
Swachhata Abhiyaan Activities Flagged Off in Kharagpur Division as part of Independence Day 2025 Celebrations
As part of the Independence Day 2025 celebrations, Kharagpur Division of South Eastern Railway has launched a series of Swachhata Abhiyaan activities aimed at promoting cleanliness and hygiene in railway premises and residential areas.
To mark the commencement of the campaign, a Prabhat Pheri was flagged off today morning by Shri Lalit Mohan Pandey, Divisional Railway Manager (DRM), Kharagpur from the SERSA Stadium, under the banner of “Swachh Rail, Swachh Bharat”. The initiative is focused on raising awareness among the public, especially railway employees and their families, about the importance of maintaining cleanliness in and around their surroundings.
The Prabhat Pheri was led by DRM Kharagpur and was joined by Additional Divisional Railway Managers (ADRM) – Operations and Infrastructure, along with all branch officers. The rally saw enthusiastic participation from school children, members of Scouts & Guides, and railway employees.
The Prabhat Pheri, moved through the railway colony and culminated at the Kharagpur Station circulating area, where a Nukkad Natak (street play) was performed by railway staff, highlighting the importance of keeping railway stations, circulating areas, and residential surroundings clean.
A Swachhata Pledge was also administered by DRM Kharagpur at the station, reaffirming the collective commitment to cleanliness.
Swachhata activities under this campaign will continue till 31st October 2025, to ensure visible and sustained improvements in cleanliness across stations, offices, colonies, workshops, and other railway establishments.
