kharagpur, Good news for all Telugu community of Kharagpur. Pradip Sarkar , MLA, Kharagpur said, wb state cabinet recommend “Telugu as a linguistic minority Status” today. He also claimed that telugu has become as official language in state. Not only for Telugu community of kharagpur but entire West Bengal will be benefitted by it. “This is a combined effort of all Telugu people of Kharagpur. Last 50 years no MLA has fought for us. Sri. Pradip Sarkar has done something which can’t be imagined” said Surendra Reddy, an official of pnk parishad. Mla had written a letter to CM  Mamta Banerjee on 17 dec 20 praying linguistic minority status to telugu. Earlier in may 2011 CM Mamta Mamta was decleared Hindi, Urdu, Gurumukhi, Nepali & Santhali & oriya as a language of liguistic moinorities. so that there could be work in gthose languages whereever there was scope.
