সর্বভারতীয় জাতীয় কংগ্রেস সভানেতৃ মাননীয়া শ্রীমতি সনিয়া গান্ধী ও সর্বভারতীয় কংগ্রেস নেতা শ্রী রাহুল গান্ধীর নির্দেশ অনুসারে ভারতীয় সেনাবাহিনীতে ‘অগ্নিপথ’ নামক ভাঁওতাবাজী নিয়োগের বিরুদ্ধে, সমগ্র ভারতের প্রতিটি ব্লকে সত্যাগ্রহ অবস্থান করা হয়। খড়্গপুর সদর বিধানসভা কেন্দ্রে পশ্চিম মেদিনীপুর জেলা মহিলা কংগ্রেস এর উদ্যোগ এ খড়্গপুর সেন্ট্রাল বাসস্ট্যান্ডে সকাল দশটা থেকে দুপুর একটা পযর্ন্ত; জেলা কংগ্রেস এর সহ সভাপতি শ্রী ডি এন শিং মহাশয়ের সভাপতিত্বে, জেলা কংগ্রেসের সাধারণ সম্পাদক বুদ্ধদেব ভট্টাচার্য্য র পরিচালনায়, ত্রিপতি ব্যানার্জী,জেলাকংগ্রেস সংখ্যালঘু সম্প্রদায়ের কার্যকরী সভাপতি শেখ সাজিদ, যুবনেতা মহম্মদ সোয়েব, জেলা কংগ্রেস মিডিয়া সেলের নেতৃ সি এইচ ভাগ্যশ্রী, সুশান্ত রাউৎ, মহিলা কংগ্রেস নেতৃ সি এইচ মালবিকার প্রত্যক্ষ সহযোগীতায় সত্যাগ্রহ কর্মসূচি পালিত হয়। এই কর্মসূচি তে অংশগ্রহণ করেন — জেলা কংগ্রেস এর সভাপতি মান্যবর শ্রী সমীর রায় মহাশয়, সাধারণ সম্পাদকদ্বয় সঞ্জীব দত্ত ও শ্যামল ঘোষ মহাশয়, সম্পাদক অমর চ্যাটার্জী, এক্সিকিউটিভ বডির সদস্য দেবাশীষ ঘোষ সহ জাতীয় কংগ্রেস এর জেলা ও ব্লক স্তরের নেতৃত্ত্ব ও কর্মীবৃন্দ।।
