RESTORATION OF SERVICE OF GITANJALI EXPRESS

Kolkata, 22nd September, 2022:

The service of 12860 Howrah-Mumbai CSMT Gitanjali Express leaving Howrah on 23-9-2022 has been restored.

This is in partial modification to the information provided earlier.

INTRODUCTION OF

JASIDIH – SMVT BENGALURU – JASIDIH WEEKLY EXPRESS

Jasidih-SMVT Bengaluru-Jasidih Weekly Express will be introduced tomorrow (23-9-2022) from Jasidih and will run as 06398 Jasidih-SMVT Bengaluru Special (one way). This Special train will originate from Jasidih at 15:30 hrs on 23rd September, 2022.

 

The regular run of 22306/22305 Jasidih-SMVT Bengaluru-Jasidih Weekly Express will commence w.e.f. 30th September, 2022 from Jasidih and w.e.f. 2nd October, 2022 from Bengaluru.

 

22306 Jasidih-SMVT Bengaluru Weekly Express will leave Jasidih every Friday at 06:30 hrs and will reach SMVT Bengaluru at 20:30 hrs every Saturday.

 

In the return direction, 22305 SMVT Bengaluru –Jasidih Weekly Express will leave SMVT Bengaluru every Sunday at 10:00 hrs and will arrive Jasidih at 00:55 hrs every Tuesday.

Train services of South Eastern Railway have been severely   affected due to agitation by a group of people at Kustaur and Nimdih Railway stations of Adra Division, Khemasuli and  Bhanjpur stations of Kharagpur Division and Aunlajori station of Chakradharpur Division since 04.00 hrs on  20.09.2022. However, the reasons of the agitations are not related to Railways.

The agitation is still continuing at Kastaur and Khemasuli stations.  As a result, 140 Mail/Express & Passenger trains have been cancelled. Apart from this, 69 trains have been short terminated/short originated, 65 trains have been diverted and 03 trains have been rescheduled.

Senior officers of Railways are at the site to monitor the situation at the above mentioned stations and are co-ordinating with the State Government.
