22849 Shalimar-Secunderabad Express leaving Shalimar on 15.03.2023 will run on diverted route via Visakhapatnam-Vijayawada-Guntur-Pagidipalli-Secunderabad

Growth in Kharagpur division

Kharagpur Division has registered remarkable growth in passengers and earnings segments during the current financial year till February month as compared to the same period of last financial year.

From April 2022 to Feb 2023, the division carried 14.90 Crores passengers as compared to 5.91 Crores passengers during the same period of last year, which shows a growth of 252.1 %.

In the Passenger Earnings segment, the division has earned Rs. 1478.17 Crores as compared to Rs. 907.18 Crores during the last year, registering a growth of 162.9 %.

In the Parcel loading segment, the division has loaded 153883 tonnes as compared to 117370 tonnes of the last year, which shows a growth of 131%.

In parcel Earnings, the division has earned Rs. 9029 Lakhs as compared to 5826.18 Lakhs during the last year. A growth of 154.97 % is registered.

In E-Auction Parcel Segment, Kharagpur Division has generated a revenue of Rs. 183.83 Cr till now, which is highest in entire Indian Railway.

In Freight Loading segment, KGP division has loaded 26.73 million tonnes as compared to 22.73 million tonnes during the last year, registering a growth of 117.6 %.

In Freight Earnings, Rs. 2205.45 Cr is earned till now as compared to Rs. 1797.82 Cr during previous year showing a growth of 122.7 %.

In Ticket Checking Earnings, revenue of Rs. 62.67 Crores were earned till now as compared to 14.07 Cr. during the previous year, registering a growth of 445.4 %. In terms of %age growth, Kharagpur division is at first position over Entire Indian Railways in ticket checking earnings.

In Sundry Earnings segment, the division has registered a growth of 277.05 % by generating a revenue of Rs. 155.04 Cr as compared to Rs. 55.96 Cr during the last period.

In other coaching earnings, KGP division has registered a growth of 151.74 % by generating a revenue of Rs. 165.23 Cr as compared to Rs. 108.89 Cr during the previous period.

The overall earnings of the division stands at a staggering Rs. 3858.25 crores as compared to Rs. 2816.11 Crores during the same period in last year. This is a growth of 137 %.

The division is also working tirelessly to provide better passenger amenities and better travelling experiences to the passengers. Major development works projects are going on in the division, construction of FOBs, ROBs, RUBs, station development works are going on to provide better amenities to rail users.

Sr. DCM Kharagpur, Shri Rajesh Kumar gives the credit for the remarkable growth in all revenue generation segments to all the staff and officers who are dedicatedly giving their best efforts for the all-round development of railways and providing best services to the passengers. He said that major focus will be given to enhance the passenger amenities, to provide better travel experience as well as also to generate revenue from non-conventional methods.

खड़गपुर डिवीजन ने पिछले वित्तीय वर्ष की इसी अवधि की तुलना में चालू वित्त वर्ष के दौरान फरवरी माह तक यात्री और आय वर्ग में उल्लेखनीय वृद्धि दर्ज की है।

अप्रैल 2022 से फरवरी 2023 तक, मंडल ने पिछले वर्ष की इसी अवधि के दौरान 5.91 करोड़ यात्रियों की तुलना में 14.90 करोड़ यात्रियों का वहन किया, जो 252.1% की वृद्धि दर्शाता है।

यात्री आय खंड में, मंडल ने पिछले वर्ष के दौरान 907.18 करोड़ रुपये की तुलना में 162.9% की वृद्धि दर्ज करते हुए 1478.17 करोड़ रुपये अर्जित किए हैं।

पार्सल लोडिंग सेगमेंट में, डिवीजन ने पिछले वर्ष के 117370 टन की तुलना में 153883 टन लोड किया है, जो 131% की वृद्धि दर्शाता है।

पार्सल आय में मंडल ने पिछले वर्ष के दौरान 5826.18 लाख रुपये की तुलना में 9029 लाख रुपये की कमाई की है। 154.97% की ग्रोथ दर्ज की गई है।

ई-नीलामी पार्सल सेगमेंट में, खड़गपुर मंडल ने अब तक 183.83 करोड़ रुपये का राजस्व अर्जित किया है, जो पूरे भारतीय रेलवे में सबसे अधिक है।

फ्रेट लोडिंग सेगमेंट में, खड़गपुर डिवीजन ने पिछले वर्ष के दौरान 22.73 मिलियन टन की तुलना में 117.6% की वृद्धि दर्ज करते हुए 26.73 मिलियन टन लोड किया है।

माल ढुलाई आय में, पिछले वर्ष के दौरान 797.82 करोड़ रुपये की तुलना में अब तक 2205.45 करोड़ रुपये अर्जित किए गए हैं, जो 122.7% की वृद्धि दर्शाता है।

टिकट चेकिंग आय में पिछले वर्ष के दौरान 14.07 करोड़ रुपये की तुलना में अब तक 62.67 करोड़ रुपये का राजस्व अर्जित किया गया। 445.4% की वृद्धि दर्ज की गई। प्रतिशत वृद्धि के संदर्भ में, खड़गपुर मंडल टिकट जाँच आय में संपूर्ण भारतीय रेलवे पर पहले स्थान पर है।

विविध आय खंड में, डिवीजन ने पिछली अवधि के दौरान 55.96 करोड़ रुपये की तुलना में 155.04 करोड़ रुपये का राजस्व उत्पन्न करके 277.05% की वृद्धि दर्ज की है।

अन्य कोचिंग आय में, खड़गपुर मंडल ने पिछली अवधि के दौरान 108.89 करोड़ रुपये की तुलना में 165.23 करोड़ रुपये का राजस्व अर्जित करके 151.74% की वृद्धि दर्ज की है।

डिवीजन की कुल कमाई पिछले वर्ष इसी अवधि के दौरान 2816.11 करोड़ रुपये की तुलना में 3858.25 करोड़ रुपये है। यह 137% की ग्रोथ है।

यात्रियों को बेहतर यात्री सुविधाएं और बेहतर यात्रा अनुभव प्रदान करने के लिए भी मंडल अथक प्रयास कर रहा है। मंडल में प्रमुख विकास कार्य चल रहे हैं, रेल उपयोक्ताओं को बेहतर सुविधाएं उपलब्ध कराने के लिए एफओबी, आरओबी, आरयूबी, स्टेशन विकास कार्य चल रहे हैं।
