Kharagpur Division has launched a massive campaign against the selling of unapproved and low quality packaged drinking water in various trains and stations of this division. During this check, Commercial Inspector, Jhargram along with his ticket checking team of Kharagpur caught some unauthorized vendors without having proper travelling authority in train no. 12860 with Unapproved Packaged Drinking Water. They were asked to pay the fine for unauthorized travelling and vending. All the unapproved Packaged Drinking Water was seized from them.
Sr. DCM Kharagpur, Shri Rajesh Kumar has said that this intensive checking drive against the unauthorized vending and selling of Unapproved Brands of packaged drinking water will be carried out on regular and priority basis. All necessary actions will be taken to stop this menace of unauthorized vending and selling of unapproved and unhygienic food and drinking items at trains and stations. Overcharging done by the vendors is also a major concern and the division is actively working on this matter to curb the illegal activities.
खड़गपुर मंडल ने इस मंडल की विभिन्न ट्रेनों और स्टेशनों पर अस्वीकृत और निम्न गुणवत्ता वाले पैकेज्ड पेयजल की बिक्री के खिलाफ एक व्यापक अभियान शुरू किया है। इस जांच के दौरान, वाणिज्यिक निरीक्षक, झारग्राम ने खरगपुर की अपनी टिकट जांच टीम के साथ कुछ अनाधिकृत वेंडरों को बिना उचित यात्रा प्राधिकरण के ट्रेन संख्या 12860 में अनअप्रूव्ड पैकेज्ड ड्रिंकिंग वॉटर के साथ पकड़ा । उन्हें अनाधिकृत यात्रा और वेंडिंग के लिए जुर्माना भरने के लिए कहा गया और उनके पास से सभी अस्वीकृत पैकेज्ड पेयजल जब्त कर लिया गया।
सीनियर डीसीएम खड़गपुर, श्री राजेश कुमार ने कहा है कि यह सघन चेकिंग अभियान नियमित और प्राथमिकता के आधार पर अनधिकृत ब्रांड के बोतल बंद पेयजल की बिक्री के खिलाफ चलाया जाएगा। ट्रेनों और स्टेशनों पर अनधिकृत और अस्वास्थ्यकर खाद्य और पेय पदार्थों की बिक्री के इस खतरे को रोकने के लिए सभी आवश्यक कार्रवाई की जाएगी। वेंडर्स द्वारा की जा रही ओवरचार्जिंग भी एक बड़ी चिंता का विषय है और अवैध गतिविधियों पर अंकुश लगाने के लिए विभाग सक्रिय रूप से इस मामले पर काम कर रहा है।

- 13288 Rajendranagar-Durg Express, journey commencing on 25.04.2023 will be Short terminated at Rourkela and same rake will run as Passenger Special from Rourkela to Rajendranagar.
- 13287 Durg-Rajendranagar Express, journey commencing on 26.04.2023 will be Short terminated at Bilaspur and same rake will run as Passenger Special from Bilaspur to Durg.

They were asked to pay the fine for unauthorized travelling and vending and all the unapproved Packaged Drinking Water was seized from them.
Also during the drive, certain irregularities were noticed at some of the catering stalls at Balasore station. Unauthorized selling of unapproved packaged drinking water, vending staff performing duties without proper uniform of ID cards, and overcharging were found during the inspection drive. Appropriate actions and penalty were imposed against the vendors for the discrepancies found.
