South Eastern Railway to get 4 new Trains

Kolkata, 17th October, 2023:

Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, Hon’ble Minister of Railways has gifted 4 pairs of new trains over the SER system in the festive season. Hon’ble Minister of Railway has said that, this is the first time Tatanagar-Badampahar/Rairangpur area will have Mail/Express train connectivity.

It was a long pending demand of the area and will fulfil the aspirations of local people. The trains will run between Kolkata (Shalimar)-Badampahar- Kolkata (Shalimar) Weekly Express, Badampahar-Rourkela-Badampahar Weekly Express, Rourkela-Tatanagar-Rourkela (6 days a week ) and Tatanagar-Badampahar-Tatanagar (6 days a week). It will boost the local economy, help development of the tribal area and provide additional connectivity to the aspirational districts. These trains will be introduced very soon.

 

1. Shalimar(Kolkata) – Badampahar-Shalimar(Kolkata) Weekly Express

Shalimar-Badampahar Weekly Express will leave Shalimar at 23.05 hrs every Saturday and will reach Badampahar at 05.40 hrs, the next day. In the return direction, Badampahar-Shalimar Express will leave Badampahar at 21.30 hrs every Sunday and will arrive Shalimar at 05.00 hrs, the next day.

The train will stop at Santragachi, Kharagpur, Jhargram, Ghatsila, Asanboni, Tatanagar, Bahalda Road, Aunlajori and Rairangpur between Shalimar and Badampahar.

2. Badampahar-Rourkeka-Badampahar Weekly Express

Badampahar-Rourkela Express will leave Badampahar at 06.10 hrs every Sunday and will reach Rourkela at 11.40 hrs, the same day. In the return direction, Rourkela-Badampahar Express will leave Rourkela at 14.20 hrs every Sunday and will arrive Badampahar at 19.25 hrs, the same day.

The train will stop at Rairangpur, Aunlajori, Bahalda Road, Tatanagar, Sini, Rajkharswan, Chakradharpur, Goilkera and Manoharpur between Badampahar and Rourkela.

3. Rourkela- Tatanagar -Rourkela (6 days a week)

Rourkela-Tatanagar train will leave Rourkela at 04.50 hrs daily except Sundays and will reach Tatanagar at 09.15 hrs, the same day. In the return direction, Tatanagar-Rourkela train will leave Tatanagar at 15.25 hrs daily except Sundays and will arrive Rourkela at 19.35 hrs, the same day.

 

The train will stop at Bisra, Manoharpur, Chakradharpur, Sini and Adityapur between Rourkela and Tatanagar.

4.Tatanagar -Badampahar-Tatanagar (6 days a week)

Tatanagar-Badampahar train will leave Tatanagar at 09.55 hrs daily except Sundays and will reach Badampahar at 12.15 hrs, the same day. In the return direction, Badampahar – Tatanagar train will leave Badampahar at 12.45 hrs daily except Sundays and will arrive Tatanagar at 15.20 hrs, the same day.

The train will stop at Haludpukur, Aunlajori, Rairangpur, Kuldiha and Chhanva between Tatanagar and Badampahar.

 

NEW STOPPAGE OF TRAINS AT SALBONI STATION OF ADRA DIVISION

For convenience of passengers, it has been decided that the following trains will be provided stoppage at Salboni station in Adra Division till further advice:

 

• 18011 Howrah-Adra-Chakradharpur Express journey commencing w.e.f 18.10.2023 will stop at Salboni station.

 

• 18012 Chakradharpur-Adra-Howrah Express journey commencing w.e.f 18.10.2023 will stop at Salboni station.

SER TO RUN DURGA PUJA SPECIALS BETWEEN SANTRAGACHI AND PURULIA

Keeping in view the extra rush of passengers during Durga Puja, South Eastern Railway has decided to run Special trains between Santragachi-Purulia-Santragachi from 20.10.2023 to 23.10.2023

08027 Santragachi-Purulia Special will leave Santragachi at 01.00 hrs and will reach Purulia at 07.30 hrs. In the return direction, 08028 Purulia-Santragachi Special will leave Purulia at 10.40 hrs and will arrive Santragachi at 16.25 hrs.

The Special train with one AC 3-Tier, ten Sleeper Class, one AC Chair Car, two General Chair Car and two General Second Class coaches  will have stoppages at Kharagpur, Midnapur, Bishnupur, Bankura, Adra and Anara.

 

REGULATION OF TRAINS DUE TO DEVELOPMENTAL WORKS IN ADRA DIVISION

In view of Rolling Block in Adra Division of South Eastern Railway, the following trains will be regulated as under:

Cancellation of Trains:

1. 08680/08679 Adra-Midnapur-Adra MEMU Special, journey commencing on 16.10.2023, 17.10.2023 & 20.10.2023 will remain cancelled.
2. 08647/08648 Adra-Barabhum-Adra MEMU Special, journey commencing on 17.10.2023, 19.10.2023 & 22.10.2023 will remain cancelled.

Short Termination/Short Origination of Trains:

1. 08174/08652 Tatanagar-Asansol-Barabhum MEMU Special, journey commencing on 16.10.2023 will be short terminated at/short originated from Adra.
2. 18035/18036 Kharagpur-Hatia-Kharagpur Express, journey commencing on 17.10.2023, 19.10.2023 & 22.10.2023 will be short terminated at/short originated from Adra.
3. 03594/03593 Asansol-Purulia-Asansol MEMU Special, journey commencing on 17.10.2023, 19.10.2023 & 22.10.2023 will be short terminated at/short originated from Adra.

Diversion of Train:

1. 18601 Tatanagar-Hatia Express, journey commencing on 16.10.2023, 18.10.2023 & 20.10.2023 will run on diverted route via Chandil-Gunda Bihar-Muri
