फेस्टिव सीजन में रेलवे की ओर से कुल 1700 विशेष ट्रेन देश भर में चलाए जाने का दावा, छठ की भीड़ को देखते हुए सांतरागाछी – तंबरम -सांतरागाछी के लिए एक और विशेष ट्रेन चलेगी

 

INDIAN RAILWAYS UNDERTAKES A SERIES OF INITIATIVES THIS FESTIVE SEASON

 

Indian Railways has undertaken a series of initiative this festive season to ensure maximum comfort for the travellers without compromising on quality of service delivery. Some of the initiatives include:

Around 1700 special trains are being run across India. 26 Lakhs berths are made available this festive season which is a record number.

`Elaborate crowd control arrangements are made at all major and important railway stations, where the huge crowds are predicted to reach for travelling to various destinations for celebrating festivals. Senior officers are stationed at these stations to monitor all the activities to regulate the crowd in a systematic manner.

Government Railway Police (GRP) & Railway Protection Force (RPF) staff are deployed at foot-over bridges to regulate crowd smoothly in order to avoid stampede like situation during the heavy rush period.

 

Skilled RPF staff is deployed in CCTV Control Room to keep a close watch on the crowded areas and render real time assistance to passengers.

 

Queue system for entering into general coaches are adopted at the originating stations

 

Proper announcement regarding trains/ coaches is ensured well in time so that passengers are made aware of the location of General Coaches and the platform from where the trains will depart.

 

Mixed escort are deployed in important trains for rendering real time assistance especially to lady passengers travelling in long distance trains.

 

Additional booking windows have been opened for the convenience of passengers.

 

 

ANOTHER CHHATH PUJA SPECIAL TO RUN

BETWEEN TAMBARAM-SANTRAGACHI-TAMBARAM

 

Kolkata, 14^th November, 2023:

 

Keeping in view to clear the extra rush of passengers during Chhath Puja, it has been decided to run Special Train as per the following schedule:

 

06079 Tambaram-Santragachi Special will leave Tambaram on 15.11.2023 and 22.11.2023 at 13.00 hrs and will reach Santragachi at 20.45 hrs, the next day. In the return direction, 06080 Santragachi-Tambaram Special will leave Santragachi on 16.11.2023 and 23.11.2023 at 23.40 hrs and will reach Tambaram at 09.35 hrs, the third day.

 

The Special train will stop at Kharagpur, Balasore, Bhadrak, Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, Khurda Road, Palasa, Vizianagaram, Duvvada, Samalkot, Rajahmundry, Vijayawada, Gudur and Chennai Egmore stations enroute.
