01 दिसंबर 2023, कोलकाता, भारत: आईआईटी खड़गपुर को प्लेसमेंट सत्र 2023 के पहले ही दिन प्री-प्लेसमेंट ऑफर (पीपीओ) सहित 700 से अधिक प्लेसमेंट ऑफर मिले हैं। वर्ष 2023-24 के लिए प्लेसमेंट प्रक्रिया का चरण-I आईआईटी खड़गपुर ने 1 दिसंबर 2023 के शुरुआती घंटों में सभी छात्रों के साथ नालंदा परिसर में शारीरिक रूप से भाग लेना शुरू कर दिया है। 61 से अधिक कंपनियों ने हमारे छात्रों को मुख्य रूप से सॉफ्टवेयर, एनालिटिक्स, वित्त-बैंकिंग, परामर्श और कोर इंजीनियरिंग के प्रोफाइल में विभिन्न भूमिकाओं की पेशकश की, जिसमें ऐप्पल, आर्थर डी.लिटिल, दा विंची, कैपिटल वन, डीई शॉ के प्री-प्लेसमेंट ऑफर शामिल हैं। , ईएक्सएल सर्विसेज, ग्लीन, गूगल, ग्रेविटॉन, माइक्रोसॉफ्ट, मैकिन्से, क्वांटबॉक्स, डेटाब्रिक्स, स्क्वायर पॉइंट, टीएसएम, पालो ऑल्टो और कई अन्य कंपनियों ने प्लेसमेंट प्रक्रिया के पहले दौर में भाग लिया। उन छात्रों के लिए 121 से अधिक प्रोफाइल खोले गए हैं, जिन्हें 19 से अधिक अंतर्राष्ट्रीय ऑफर प्राप्त हुए हैं, जिनमें से 6 छात्रों को प्लेसमेंट ड्राइव के पहले दिन 1 करोड़ रुपये से अधिक सीटीसी की पेशकश की गई है। कंपनियां हाइब्रिड मोड में साक्षात्कार आयोजित कर रही हैं, जिसमें बड़ी संख्या में कंपनियों के प्रतिनिधि मौजूद हैं।

कैरियर डेवलपमेंट सेंटर ( सीडीसी), आईआईटी खड़गपुर। इस वर्ष कैरियर डेवलपमेंट सेंटर पहली बार “एकेडेमिया इंडस्ट्री कॉन्क्लेव (एआईसी) 2023” का आयोजन कर रहा है, जिसका मूल उद्देश्य इन दो प्रमुख क्षेत्रों के बीच की खाई को पाटना है। जो कंपनियाँ यहाँ परिसर में भौतिक रूप से आ रही हैं, उन्हें संस्थान में चल रहे पथ-प्रदर्शक और अत्याधुनिक शोध कार्यों और परियोजनाओं को जानने का मौका मिल रहा है।

इस अंतर्दृष्टि के आधार पर, आने वाले वर्षों में अधिक लाभकारी और सहजीवी संबंध विकसित किया जा सकता है। एआईसी की अवधारणा प्रोफेसर माईति के दिमाग की उपज है, जिन्होंने कहा, “केंद्रीय विचार विभागों/केंद्रों/स्कूलों को संभावित उद्योग भागीदारों और भर्तीकर्ताओं के सामने अपनी ताकत और उपलब्धियों को प्रदर्शित करने के लिए एक मंच प्रदान करना है”।

आईआईटी खड़गपुर के निदेशक प्रो वी के तिवारी ने कहा, “अधिकांश प्रमुख कंपनियां अगस्त 2023 के महीने में इंटर्नशिप के लिए पहले ही परिसर का दौरा कर चुकी हैं और इस प्लेसमेंट सीज़न के लिए भी अपनी उपस्थिति दर्ज करा चुकी हैं। 2023-24 के स्नातक बैच ने उन कंपनियों के साथ इस प्लेसमेंट ड्राइव के प्रति बहुत उत्साह और रचनात्मक आत्मविश्वास दिखाया है जो इस संस्थान के प्रतिभा पूल में टैप करने के लिए उत्सुक हैं। हालाँकि वैश्विक आर्थिक स्थिति एक बड़ी चिंता का विषय है,

700+ placements offers on Day 1 for IIT Kharagpur

01 December 2023, Kolkata, India: IIT Kharagpur has bagged more than 700 placement offers including Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs) on the very first day of the placement session 2023. Phase-I of the placement process for the year 2023-24 of IIT Kharagpur has started during the early hours of 1st December 2023 with all the students participating physically in the Nalanda complex. More than 61 companies offered various roles to our students mainly in the profile of software, analytics, finance–banking, consulting and core engineering which includes the Pre-placement offers from Apple, Arthur D.Little, Da Vinci, Capital One, DE Shaw, EXL Services, Glean, Google, Graviton, Microsoft, Mckinsey, Quantbox, Databricks, Square point, TSM, Palo Alto and many more companies which participated in round one of the placement process. More than 121 profiles have been opened for the students who have received more than 15 international offers with 6 students being offered more than INR 1 Crore CTC on the first day of the placement drive. Companies are conducting the interviews in the hybrid mode with significant number of companies present physically as well.

“Reaching out to many new companies with proper strategy, have played a very crucial role to defeat the lean period of the market and upheld the legacy of the institute in this placement process,” said Prof. Rajib Maity, Chairperson of Career Development Centre (CDC), IIT Kharagpur. This year the Career Development Centre for the first time is organizing “Academia Industry Conclave (AIC) 2023” where the basic motto is to bridge the gap between these two prominent arenas. Companies which are coming here in the campus physically, are getting a chance to know the path breaking and cutting edge research works and projects going on in the Institute. Based on this insight, a more beneficial and symbiotic relationship can be developed in the coming years. The concept of AIC is the brainchild of Prof. Maity who added, “The central idea is to provide a platform for the Departments/Centres/Schools to showcase their strengths and achievements infront of potential industry partners and recruiters”.

Prof. V K Tewari, Director, IIT Kharagpur said, “Most of the prominent companies had already visited the campus for internship in the month of August 2023 and have also registered their presence for this placement season. The graduating batch of 2023-24 have shown great enthusiasm and constructive confidence towards this placement drive along with the companies who are eager to tap in the talent pool of this Institute. Although the global economic situation is a big concern, the participation and euphoric energy amongst the students as well as the companies gave positive assurance to the entire team. Even when the current placement season is slow, IIT Kharagpur standing tall with more than 700 offers on the first day of placement drive, is itself a manifestation of the testimony for producing quality individuals and providing excellence in education.”
