आईआईटी के 1600 से ज्यादा छात्रों को मिली नौकरी, 48 को 50 लाख से 2.64 करोड़ सालाना तक आफर

 

17 दिसंबर 2022, कोलकाता, भारत: IIT खड़गपुर ने दिसंबर के दूसरे सप्ताह में अपने प्लेसमेंट सत्र 2021-22 के पहले चरण का समापन कर लिया है। प्लेसमेंट के 12 दिनों के भीतर 1600 से अधिक प्रस्तावों के बेंचमार्क और सत्र 2021-22 के लिए 900 से अधिक इंटर्नशिप प्रस्तावों के साथ, छात्रों के जबरदस्त कौशल सेट और कॉरपोरेट्स के असाधारण समर्थन ने देश के सबसे पुराने IIT की विरासत को बरकरार रखा है। पहले चरण का प्लेसमेंट सीजन 500 प्लस प्री प्लेसमेंट ऑफर (पीपीओ) के साथ शुरू हुआ और दूसरे दिन के अंत में सबसे तेज 1000 प्लस ऑफर हासिल किया, जो सभी आईआईटी में एक मील का पत्थर है। संस्थान के छात्रों द्वारा 45 से अधिक अंतर्राष्ट्रीय प्रस्तावों के साथ 0.5 – 2.64 करोड़ की सीटीसी रेंज में 48 प्रस्ताव प्राप्त हुए। इस साल 5 विदेशी छात्रों ने भी कैंपस प्लेसमेंट में नौकरी हासिल की है। दूसरा चरण जनवरी 2023 के दूसरे सप्ताह से शुरू करने का प्रस्ताव है।

IIT खड़गपुर के कैरियर डेवलपमेंट सेंटर ने कई महीने पहले 900 से अधिक इंटर्नशिप के साथ कई कुशल उद्योग जुड़ाव कार्यक्रमों के साथ अपनी रणनीति शुरू की थी। इस प्लेसमेंट सीजन में 300 से ज्यादा कंपनियों ने हिस्सा लिया है। इस साल सॉफ्टवेयर, हाई लेवल कोडिंग, एनालिटिक्स, कंसल्टिंग, कोर इंजीनियरिंग कंपनियों, बैंकिंग/फाइनेंस, हाई फ्रीक्वेंसी ट्रेडिंग आदि सहित सभी क्षेत्रों की कंपनियों ने इस प्रक्रिया में भाग लिया है। Airbus, Accenture Japan, Da Vinci Derivatives, Excel, Google, Microsoft, Qualcomm, Squarepoint Capital, N. K Securities, Hindustan Unilever, Tata Steel, Texas Instruments, Bajaj Auto, Jaguar Land Rover आदि सहित कंपनियों   ने भर्ती की।

 

प्रोफेसर ए. राजकुमार, अध्यक्ष, कैरियर विकास केंद्र, IIT खड़गपुर ने कहा कि संस्थान का भव्य प्रदर्शन IIT KGP के मजबूत पाठ्यक्रम, छात्रों के तकनीकी कौशल और कॉर्पोरेट नियोक्ताओं के साथ CDC के भरोसेमंद सहयोग के कारण है। यह भी अनुमान लगाया जा रहा है कि हायरिंग के दूसरे चरण में अधिक कोर कंपनियां छात्रों को प्लेसमेंट और इंटर्नशिप के अवसर प्रदान करेंगी। सीडीसी आने वाले वर्षों में पारस्परिक रूप से लाभप्रद संबंधों को विकसित करने की उम्मीद कर रहा है। उन्होंने सभी भर्तीकर्ताओं को उनके बहुमूल्य योगदान और भागीदारी के लिए धन्यवाद दिया।

संस्थान 24 दिसंबर, 2022 को अपना 68वां दीक्षांत समारोह मनाने के लिए भी तैयार है। भारत के उपराष्ट्रपति श्री जगदीप धनखड़ इस अवसर पर मुख्य अतिथि के रूप में शिरकत करेंगे। श्री राजेंद्र प्रसाद सिंह, अध्यक्ष, बोर्ड ऑफ गवर्नर्स, IIT खड़गपुर भी अपनी उपस्थिति से हमें सम्मानित करेंगे। इस वर्ष, IIT खड़गपुर को लाइफटाइम अचीवमेंट अवार्ड प्रदान करने पर गर्व है, जिन्होंने 1981 से IIT खड़गपुर में 1966 से 2009 तक धातुकर्म और सामग्री इंजीनियरिंग विभाग (सामग्री विज्ञान केंद्र) में शिक्षण और अनुसंधान संकाय के रूप में कार्य किया। आईआईटी खड़गपुर में एमबीबीएस योग्यता और उद्योग प्रायोजित इस्पात प्रौद्योगिकी में स्नातकोत्तर डिप्लोमा पाठ्यक्रम वाले छात्रों के लिए चिकित्सा विज्ञान और प्रौद्योगिकी में पहले परास्नातक कार्यक्रम को आयोजित करने और शुरू करने में ढिंडाव की महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका थी। धातु विज्ञान में उत्कृष्ट योगदान के लिए भारत सरकार के राष्ट्रीय धातुकर्म दिवस पुरस्कार से सम्मानित, उन्होंने उल्लेखनीय परियोजनाओं पर सीएसआईआर, डीआरडीओ, एआरडीबी, डीएसटी और शिक्षा मंत्रालय के साथ काम किया है।

Benchmark of 1600+ placement offers for IIT Kharagpur

17 December 2022, Kolkata, India:  IIT Kharagpur has concluded its first phase of placement session 2021-22 in the second week of December. With the bench mark of 1600 plus offers within 12 days of placement and 900 plus internship offers for the session 2021-22, the tremendous skill set of the students and extraordinary support from the corporates have upheld the legacy of the oldest IIT of the country. Phase-I placement season started with 500 plus Pre Placement Offers (PPO) and achieved the fastest 1000 plus offers at the end of Day 2, a milestone across all IITs. 48 offers in the CTC range of 0.5 – 2.64 crore with 45 plus international offers were received by the students of the Institute. This year 5 foreign students also secured jobs in the campus placements. The second phase is proposed to start from the 2nd week of January 2023.

The Career Development Centre of IIT Kharagpur had started its strategy many months back with 900 plus internship followed by many efficient industry engagement programmes. More than 300 companies have participated in this placement season. This year companies across all sectors including software, high level coding, analytics, consulting, core engineering companies, banking / finance, high frequency trading etc. have participated in the process. Companies including Airbus, Accenture Japan, Da Vinci Derivatives, Excel, Google, Microsoft, Qualcomm, Squarepoint Capital, N. K Securities, Hindustan Unilever, Tata Steel, Texas Instruments, Bajaj Auto, Jaguar Land Rover etc. and all valuable partners recruited this year from IIT KGP.

Prof. A. Rajakumar, Chairman, Career Development Centre, IIT Kharagpur opined that the grand performance of the institute is due to the strong curriculum of IIT KGP, the technical skills of students and also the trust-worthy association of CDC with corporate recruiters. It is also being anticipated that in the second phase of hiring more core companies will offer placements and internship opportunities to the students. CDC is looking forward to nurture mutually benefitted relationship in the years to come. He thanked all the recruiters for their valuable contribution and participation.

The institute also gears up to celebrate its 68th Convocation on December 24, 2022. Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar, Vice President of India will grace the occasion as the Chief Guest. Shri Rajendra Prasad Singh, Chairman, Board of Governors, IIT Kharagpur will also honour us with his presence. This year, IIT Kharagpur is proud to bestow the Lifetime Achievement Award to Prof. BRIJ K. DHINDAW who served as the Teaching & Research Faculty in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering Department (Material Science Centre) from 1966 – 2009 in IIT Kharagpur since 1981. Prof. Dhindaw was instrumental to organize and introduce the first Masters Programme in Medical Science and Technology, for students with MBBS qualification and industry sponsored Post Graduate Diploma course in Steel Technology at IIT Kharagpur. Honored with the National Metallurgist Day Award from Government of Indian for outstanding contribution in Metal Science, he has worked with CSIR, DRDO, ARDB, DST and Ministry of Education on notable projects.
