खड़गपुर, भारी मात्रा में प्रतिबंधित कफ सिरप फेंसिडिल पुलिस व एसटीएफ ने संयुक्त छापामारी कर जब्त किया है व गिरफ्तार सात लोगों को आज मेदिनीपुर जिला अदालत में पेश किए जाने पर सातों को 4 दिनों की पुलिस रिमांड में भेजा गया।
जानकारी के अनुसार खड़गपुर ग्रामीण थाना के कलाईकुंडा इलाके में एनएच 6 के समीप एक गोदाम में छापा मार कर लगभग 50 कार्टून सिरप जब्त किया गया है। गिरफ्तार लोगों में मुर्शिदाबाद जिले के 6 लोग व गोदाम मालिक है। पुलिस ने ट्रक सहित दो वाहनों को भी जब्त किया है।
पता चला है कि सिरप यूपी से होते हुए खड़गपुर पहुंचती थी यहां से बांग्लादेश के लिए तस्करी किया जाताहै पता चला है कि वहां पर यह काफी ऊंचे दाम में बेचा जाता था व बतौर ड्रग्स इसका उपयोग होता था।
खड़गपुर ग्रामीण थाना पुलिस प्रभारी प्रणव पात्रो ने बताया कि गिरफ्तार 7 लोगों को आज अदालत मे पेश किए जाने पर सभी को चार दिनों की पुलिस हिरासत मे भेजा गया है। इन लोगो से पूछताछ के बाद तस्करी रैकेट में और कौन लोग शामिल है मालूम हो पाएगा।

According to the information, a warehouse near NH 6 in Kalaikunda area of Kharagpur local Police Station was raided and about 50 cartoon syrups were seized.
Among those arrested are 6 people from Murshidabad district and a warehouse owner. Police have also seized two vehicles including a truck. It has been learned that the syrup used to reach Kharagpur via UP and is smuggled to Bangladesh. It has been learned that it was sold there at a very high price and was used as a drug.
Kharagpur local police station in-charge Pranab Patro said that when the 7 arrested people were produced in the court today, all of them have been sent to police custody for four days. After interrogating these people, it will be known who else is involved in the smuggling racket.
