खड़गपुर में रिकार्ड तापमान 47 डिग्री पार, पेयजल संकट से लोगों का जीना हुआ मुहाल, खड़गपुर स्टेशन में लोडशेडिंग से यात्री परेशान      

 

खड़गपुर, एक पखवाड़े पूर्व रामनवमी से जारी तापमानमें वृद्धि आज भी जारी रहा खड़गपुर में इस साल का सबस गर्म दिन रहा। मौसम विभाग के अनुसार खड़गपुर के कलाईकुंडा में आज तापमान 47.2 डिग्री दर्ज किया गया। ज्ञात हो कि बीते दो सप्ताह से लगभग 44 से 46 डिग्री के बीच जिले में तापमान देखा जा रहा था पर आज सर्वाधिक 47 डिग्री पार होने से लोग हलाकान रहे।

बुधवार को सुबह दस बजे से ही लोग भीषण लू की चपेट में आ गए जिसके कारण दोपहर में शहर के गोलबजार हो  या मलिंचा इंदा झपाटापुर कौशल्या सभी जगहों पर लोग सड़कों व बाजार से नदारद रहे। ज्ञात हो कि पश्चिम मेदिनपुर सहित पूरे जंगलमहल में रिकोर्ड तोड़ गर्मी चल रही है जिसमें से सबसे ज्यादा गर्मी इस साल पश्चिम मेदिनीपुर में ही रिकार्ड किया गया।

अभी कुछ और दिनों तक तापमान में वृद्धि देखने को मिल सकती है। कालवैशाखी ना होने से तापमान में लगातार बढ़ोत्तरी देखी जा रही ह। मौसम विभाग की ओऱ से लोगों को गर्मी से बचने की सलाह दी गई है. तापमान के कारण आज खड़गपुर व आसपास के इलाकों में लोग दोपहर में घरों में दुबके रहने को बाध्य है। 

खड़गपुर स्टेशन में लोडशेडिंग से यात्री पेरशान 

भीषण गर्मी में खड़गपुर रेल स्टेशन में कई घंटो तक लोडशेडिंग होने से लोग परेशान रहे। लंबी दूरी की ट्रेन पकड़ने के लिए दूरदराज इलाकों से आए ग्रामीण विशेषकर परेशान दिखे यात्रियों का कहना है कि भीषण गर्मी में लोडेशेडिंग के कारण पंखा ना चलने से वे लोग स्टेशन परिसर से बाहर आने को मजबूर हो गए। घंटो लोडशेडिंग होने पर रेल प्रशासन की प्रतिक्रिया समाचार लिखे जाने तक नहीं मिली। 

पेयजल संकट को लेकर स्थानीय लोगों का पथावरोध   

पीने की पानी की समस्या को लेकर आज मेदिनीपुर नगरपालिका के वार्ड नंबर 6 के पार्षद गोलक बिहारी माझी के घर के सामने स्थानीय लोगों ने विरोध प्रदर्शन व सड़क अवरोध किया। ज्ञात हो कि स्थानीय लोग बुधवार को पेयजल की आपूर्ति बीते कई दिनों से ठीक से ना होने व जो जल आ रहा है वह भी प्रदूषित व पाने के लायक ना होने का आऱोप लगाते हुए स्थानीय लोगों ने पथारवरोध किया। आंदोलनकारियों की मांग है कि तुरंत स्वच्छ पेयजल उपलब्ध कराया जाए। अवरोध की खबर सुनकर मेदिनीपुर कोतवाली थाना की पुलिस घटनास्थल में पहुंच स्थिति को नियंत्रित किया इधर पार्षद ने वार्ड के कई इलाकों में पेयजल समस्या होने की बात स्वीकारी व कहा कि नगरपालिका को इस संबंध में सूचित कर दिया गया है। 

 

 

Kharagpur, the rise in temperature since Ram Navami a fortnight ago continued even today. It was the hottest day of this year in Kharagpur. According to the Meteorological Department, the temperature in Kalaikunda of Kharagpur was recorded at 47.2 degrees today. It may be noted that for the last two weeks the temperature in the district was being seen between 44 to 46 degrees, but today people remained worried as it crossed the maximum of 47 degrees.

On Wednesday, from 10 o’clock in the morning, people came under the grip of severe heat due to which in the afternoon, people remained absent from the roads and markets at all places in town, be it Golbazar or Malancha, Inda, Jhapatapur Kaushalya. Let it be known that record breaking heat is going on in the entire Jangalmahal including West Medinipur, out of which the highest heat was recorded in West Medinipur this year. An increase in temperature may be seen for a few more days. Due to absence of Kal baishakhi, a continuous increase in temperature is being seen. The Meteorological Department has advised people to avoid the heat. Due to the temperature today, people in Kharagpur and surrounding areas are forced to remain indoors in the afternoon.

Passengers troubled by load shedding at Kharagpur station

In the scorching heat, people remained troubled due to load shedding for several hours today at Kharagpur Railway Station. The villagers, who came from remote areas to catch the long distance train, looked especially distressed. The passengers said that due to load shedding in the scorching heat, they were forced to come out of the station premises due to non-functioning of fans. The railway administration’s response to hours of load shedding was not received till the time of writing.

Road blockade by local people regarding drinking water crisis

Today, local people protested and blocked the road in front of the house of Ward No. 6 councilor Golak Bihari Majhi of Medinipur Municipality regarding the problem of drinking water. It may be noted that on Wednesday,s# the local people resorted to stone blocking on Wednesday, alleging that the supply of drinking water has not been proper for the past several days and that the water coming is polluted and unfit for consumption. The protesters demand that clean drinking water be made available immediately. Hearing the news of the blockage, the police of Medinipur Kotwali police station reached the spot and controlled the situation. Meanwhile, the councilor admitted that there is drinking water problem in many areas of the ward and said that the municipality has been informed in this regard.
