IIT Kharagpur ranked 4th in India in the latest QS World University Rankings 2025

June 07, 2024, West Bengal, India: Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur ranked 4th in India in the latest QS World University Rankings 2025. The institute jumped ahead 49 places in comparison to its 2024 performance to become the 222nd University in the world. The first and the largest IIT of the country ranked 3rd among all IITs of the country in the QS World University Rankings 2025. 

 

 

The World University Ranking 2025 by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) featured 1503 Universities from all over the world and evaluated 5663 institutions in total. The institute has performed well in parameters like International Research Network, Sustainability and Citations per Faculty. 

 

 

Speaking on the QS World University Rankings 2025, Prof. V K Tewari, Director, IIT Kharagpur remarked, “IIT Kharagpur has upheld the nation’s resolve to excel the standards of globalization with artificial intelligence, advance manufacturing systems and transportation, 5G Network, safety engineering and analytics, quality and reliability, affordable healthcare, precision agriculture, food nutrition and smart infrastructure to contribute towards an Atmanirbhar Bharat. As an institute of eminence, IIT Kharagpur’s initiatives on developing Technological Research Parks, Centres of Excellence, start-up incubators, Lab to Market products and Nano Missions are the new ecology for innovation and technological pursuits of the institute. Successful implementation of Vikshit Bharat as instituted by our Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi requires participation of several stakeholders including government agencies, public and private enterprises, academic and research organizations. We have to acquire the opportunity in digital economy space and biomedical engineering fostering technological expansions by creating the human-machine synergy that would set the future technology development agenda for the develoed India.

07 जून, 2024, पश्चिम बंगाल, भारत: भारतीय प्रौद्योगिकी संस्थान खड़गपुर नवीनतम क्यूएस वर्ल्ड यूनिवर्सिटी रैंकिंग 2025 में भारत में चौथे स्थान पर है। संस्थान अपने 2024 के प्रदर्शन की तुलना में 49 स्थान आगे बढ़कर दुनिया का 222वां विश्वविद्यालय बन गया है। देश का पहला और सबसे बड़ा आईआईटी क्यूएस वर्ल्ड यूनिवर्सिटी रैंकिंग 2025 में देश के सभी आईआईटी में तीसरे स्थान पर है।

 

क्वाक्वेरेली साइमंड्स (क्यूएस) द्वारा वर्ल्ड यूनिवर्सिटी रैंकिंग 2025 में दुनिया भर के 1503 विश्वविद्यालयों को शामिल किया गया और कुल मिलाकर 5663 संस्थानों का मूल्यांकन किया गया। संस्थान ने अंतर्राष्ट्रीय अनुसंधान नेटवर्क, स्थिरता और प्रति संकाय उद्धरण जैसे मापदंडों में अच्छा प्रदर्शन किया है।

 

क्यूएस वर्ल्ड यूनिवर्सिटी रैंकिंग 2025 पर बोलते हुए, आईआईटी खड़गपुर के निदेशक प्रोफेसर वी के तिवारी ने कहा, “आईआईटी खड़गपुर ने कृत्रिम बुद्धिमत्ता, उन्नत विनिर्माण प्रणाली और परिवहन, 5 जी नेटवर्क, सुरक्षा इंजीनियरिंग और वैश्वीकरण के मानकों को उत्कृष्ट बनाने के देश के संकल्प को बरकरार रखा है।” विश्लेषण, गुणवत्ता और विश्वसनीयता, किफायती स्वास्थ्य देखभाल, सटीक कृषि, खाद्य पोषण और स्मार्ट बुनियादी ढांचे को एक प्रतिष्ठित संस्थान के रूप में योगदान देने के लिए, आईआईटी खड़गपुर ने तकनीकी अनुसंधान पार्क, उत्कृष्टता केंद्र, स्टार्ट-अप इनक्यूबेटर, लैब विकसित करने की पहल की है। बाजार उत्पाद और नैनो मिशन संस्थान के नवाचार और तकनीकी गतिविधियों के लिए नई पारिस्थितिकी हैं। हमारे प्रधान मंत्री श्री नरेंद्र मोदी द्वारा स्थापित विकसित भारत के सफल कार्यान्वयन के लिए सरकारी एजेंसियों, सार्वजनिक और निजी उद्यमों, शैक्षणिक और अनुसंधान संगठनों सहित कई हितधारकों की भागीदारी की आवश्यकता है। हमें मानव-मशीन तालमेल बनाकर तकनीकी विस्तार को बढ़ावा देने वाले डिजिटल अर्थव्यवस्था क्षेत्र और बायोमेडिकल इंजीनियरिंग में अवसर हासिल करना होगा जो विकसित भारत के लिए भविष्य के प्रौद्योगिकी विकास एजेंडे को निर्धारित करेगा।
