प्रो. सुमन चक्रवर्ती ने आधिकारिक तौर पर आईआईटी खड़गपुर के निदेशक का पदभार संभाल लिया है।
विश्व स्तर पर प्रसिद्ध शिक्षाविद और मैकेनिकल इंजीनियरिंग विभाग के एक प्रतिष्ठित संकाय सदस्य प्रो. चक्रवर्ती को विज्ञान और इंजीनियरिंग में कई प्रतिष्ठित राष्ट्रीय और अंतर्राष्ट्रीय सम्मान प्राप्त हुए हैं। द्रव यांत्रिकी, बायोमेडिकल इंजीनियरिंग और प्रौद्योगिकी-संचालित सामाजिक अनुप्रयोगों के संयोजन में उनके काम ने उन्हें देश के अग्रणी शोधकर्ताओं में से एक के रूप में मान्यता दिलाई है।
हम आईआईटी बीएचयू के निदेशक प्रो. अमित पात्रा के प्रति उनके कार्यकाल के दौरान उनके उत्कृष्ट नेतृत्व और योगदान के लिए हार्दिक आभार व्यक्त करते हैं।

Prof. Suman Chakraborty has officially taken over as Director of IIT Kharagpur.
Prof. Chakraborty, a globally renowned academician and a distinguished faculty member from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, has received several prestigious national and international honors in science and engineering. His work at the intersection of fluid mechanics, biomedical engineering, and technology-driven societal applications has earned him recognition as one of the foremost researchers in the country.
