डाउन फलकनामा में पत्थरबाजी की घटना में दो किशोर हिरासत में
ट्रेन संख्या 12704 डाउन (एससी-एचडब्ल्यूएच फलकनुमा एक्सप्रेस) खड़गपुर स्टेशन के प्लेटफॉर्म संख्या-07 पर अपराह्न 16:34 बजे पहुँची। उस समय एएसआई सी. एस. पासवान, पीपी एरिया स्टाफ एचसी एम. के. सिंह एवं ‘माई सहेली’ स्टाफ एलसी सुमन मीणा ट्रेन के सुरक्षित परिचालन हेतु उपस्थित थे।
लगभग 16:37 बजे उपरोक्त अधिकारी व स्टाफ ने देखा कि दो किशोर कोच संख्या M-4 (SW-241330) के कोच अटेंडेंट के साथ दुर्व्यवहार कर रहे थे तथा उसी कोच पर पत्थर फेंक रहे थे, जिससे कोच की खिड़की का शीशा टूट गया।
आरपीएफ/पोस्ट/खड़गपुर के अधिकारी एवं स्टाफ ने उन किशोरों को पकड़ने का प्रयास किया, लेकिन वे स्टेशन क्षेत्र से भाग निकले। इसके पश्चात एएसआई सी. एस. पासवान व टास्क टीम ने सीसीटीवी फुटेज का विश्लेषण कर दोनों किशोरों की पहचान की। तत्पश्चात खड़गपुर स्टेशन के आसपास खोजबीन कर टीम ने लगभग 17:15 बजे स्टेशन के उत्तर दिशा में स्थित पुराने बुकिंग काउंटर के पास उन्हें देखा। एएसआई सी. एस. पासवान एवं टास्क टीम की सहायता से दोनों किशोरों को हिरासत में लिया गया।
पूछताछ में दोनों ने अपना नाम व पता निम्नानुसार बताया:
1. आयु लगभग 17 वर्ष, पता – न्यू बस स्टैंड, गांधी नगर, खड़गपुर, थाना – खड़गपुर (टाउन), जिला – पश्चिम मेदिनीपुर (प. बंगाल)।
2. आयु लगभग 16 वर्ष, पता – न्यू बस स्टैंड, गांधी नगर, खड़गपुर, थाना – खड़गपुर (टाउन), जिला – पश्चिम मेदिनीपुर (प. बंगाल)।
घटना के विषय में पूछे जाने पर दोनों ने पत्थरबाजी की घटना को स्वीकार किया। इसके पश्चात कोच संख्या M-4 के कोच अटेंडेंट श्री छोटन मंडल को व्हाट्सएप नंबर 9749626463 पर दोनों की तस्वीरें भेजी गईं, जिन्होंने उन्हें पहचान लिया।
दोनों किशोरों के विरुद्ध रेल अधिनियम 1989 की धारा 153 के अंतर्गत मामला दर्ज कर आरपीएफ/पोस्ट/खड़गपुर में केस संख्या 1540/2025 दर्ज किया गया। इस मामले की जांच का दायित्व एसआईपीएफ विकास कुमार को सौंपा गया है।
अतः उपर्युक्त दोनों किशोरों को आवश्यक दस्तावेजों सहित पश्चिम मेदिनीपुर जिले की माननीय किशोर न्यायालय के समक्ष प्रस्तुत कर विधिसम्मत कार्यवाही की जाएगी।
It is to be stated that on Train No. 12704 Down (SC–HWH Falaknuma Express) arrived at Kharagpur station at Platform No. 07 at around 16:34 hrs. At that time, ASI C. S. Paswan, PP area staff HC M. K. Singh, and “Meri Saheli” staff LC Suman Meena were present to ensure the train’s safe passage.
At around 16:37 hrs, the above-mentioned officer and staff observed that two juveniles were misbehaving with the coach attendant of coach No. M-4 (SW-241330) and were pelting stones at the coach, causing the window glass to break.
The officers and staff of RPF/Post/Kharagpur tried to apprehend the juveniles, but they fled from the station premises. Later, ASI C. S. Paswan and the task team reviewed the CCTV footage and identified the two juveniles. Subsequently, a search was conducted in the surrounding areas of Kharagpur station, and at around 17:15 hrs, the team located the juveniles near the old booking counter on the north side of the station. With the help of the task team, both juveniles were detained by ASI C. S. Paswan.
Upon questioning, they revealed their names and addresses as follows:
1. approximately 17 years old, address – New Bus Stand, Gandhi Nagar, Kharagpur, PS – Kharagpur (Town), District – Paschim Medinipur, West Bengal.
2. approximately 16 years old, address – New Bus Stand, Gandhi Nagar, Kharagpur, PS – Kharagpur (Town), District – Paschim Medinipur, West Bengal.
When questioned about the incident, both juveniles admitted to the act of stone pelting. Subsequently, their photographs were sent via WhatsApp to the coach attendant of coach No. M-4, Mr. Chhotan Mandal (WhatsApp No. 9749626463), who confirmed their identity.
A case has been registered against them under Section 153 of the Railways Act 1989 at RPF/Post/Kharagpur vide case number 1540/2025. The investigation of the case has been entrusted to SIPF Vikash Kumar.
Therefore, both juveniles mentioned above will be presented before the Hon’ble Juvenile Court, Paschim Medinipur, along with the relevant documents for legal proceedings.
