खड़गपुर में RPF की बड़ी कार्रवाई, ₹4.3 लाख से अधिक का चोरी का सामान बरामद, दो गिरफ्तार
खड़गपुर, 10 अक्टूबर, 2025 – रेलवे सुरक्षा बल (RPF) ने चोरी के खिलाफ एक बड़ी कार्रवाई करते हुए खड़गपुर में दो अलग-अलग घटनाओं में ₹4.35 लाख से अधिक का चोरी का सामान बरामद किया है और दो व्यक्तियों को गिरफ्तार किया है। गुरुवार और शुक्रवार को हुई इन कार्रवाइयों ने यात्री सुरक्षा के प्रति RPF की दृढ़ प्रतिबद्धता को उजागर किया है।
पहली घटना गुरुवार, 9 अक्टूबर को हुई, जब हावड़ा-टाटा-SRC एक्सप्रेस (ट्रेन संख्या 18616) में तैनात RPF एस्कॉर्ट टीम को रांची से यात्रा कर रहे एक यात्री से शिकायत मिली। यात्री ने बताया कि उनकी पत्नी का मैरून रंग का बैग, जिसमें लगभग ₹4,20,000 मूल्य का कीमती सामान था, चोरी हो गया है। RPF टीम ने तुरंत कोच की तलाशी शुरू की और सुबह लगभग 7:05 बजे शौचालय के कूड़ेदान के अंदर छिपा हुआ बैग बरामद कर लिया। बैग को उसके असली मालिक को सौंप दिया गया, जिन्होंने RPF की त्वरित कार्रवाई के लिए गहरा आभार व्यक्त किया।
एक अन्य घटना में, शुक्रवार शाम लगभग 6:32 बजे, खड़गपुर रेलवे स्टेशन पर गश्त कर रहे RPF कर्मियों ने प्लेटफॉर्म नंबर 4 पर पार्सल कार्यालय के पास दो संदिग्ध व्यक्तियों को देखा। पूछताछ करने पर दोनों ने भागने की कोशिश की, लेकिन सतर्क अधिकारियों ने उन्हें पकड़ लिया।
उनके पास से लगभग ₹15,000 मूल्य का एक भूरे रंग का ट्रॉली बैग बरामद हुआ। पूछताछ के दौरान, उन्होंने VSKP-SHM एक्सप्रेस (ट्रेन संख्या 22854) के एक यात्री से इसे चुराने की बात कबूल की। दोनों आरोपियों को गिरफ्तार कर राजकीय रेलवे पुलिस (GRP), खड़गपुर को सौंप दिया गया है, जहाँ उनके खिलाफ भारतीय नागरिक सुरक्षा संहिता (BNSS), 2023 की संबंधित धाराओं के तहत मामला (संख्या 133/25) दर्ज किया गया है।

RPF Nabs Two Thieves, Recovers Luggage Worth Over ₹4.3 Lakhs in Kharagpur
KHARAGPUR, October 10, 2025 – In a significant crackdown on theft, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) has successfully recovered stolen luggage worth over ₹4.35 lakhs and arrested two individuals in two separate incidents at Kharagpur. The operations, conducted on Thursday and Friday, highlight the RPF’s unwavering commitment to passenger security.
In the first incident on Thursday, October 9, the RPF escorting team on the Howrah–TATA–SRC Express (Train No. 18616) received a complaint from a passenger traveling from Ranchi. The passenger reported that his wife’s maroon-coloured bag, containing valuables estimated at ₹4,20,000, had been stolen. The RPF team immediately launched a search of the coach and discovered the missing bag cleverly hidden inside a toilet dustbin at around 7:05 AM. The bag was promptly returned to its rightful owner, who expressed deep gratitude for the RPF’s swift action.
In a separate operation on Friday evening, RPF personnel on patrol at Kharagpur Railway Station spotted two suspicious individuals near the parcel office on Platform No. 4 at approximately 6:32 PM. When confronted, the men attempted to escape but were apprehended by the alert officers.
A brown trolley bag, valued at around ₹15,000, was recovered from them. During interrogation, they confessed to stealing it from a passenger on the VSKP–SHM Express (Train No. 22854). Both accused were arrested and handed over to the Government Railway Police (GRP) at Kharagpur, where a case (No. 133/25) has been registered against them under the relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023.
