खड़गपुर, बस और तीन महीने का इंतजार उसके बाद शहरवासियों को मिलेगा गिरि मैदान ओवरब्रिज का उपहार यह आश्वासन खड़गपुर रेल मंडल के निवर्तमान डीआरएम मनोरंजन प्रधान ने आज डीआरएम सभाकक्ष मं आयोजित पत्रकार सम्मेलन में मीडियाकर्मियों को दी। प्रधान ने कहा कि अब और कोई समय नहीं लिया जाएगा तीन महीने में ब्रिज का उद्घाटन संभव है उन्होने थाना के पास वर्षों से बन रहे ब्रिज के लिए छह माह का समय मांगा जबकि हाथी गोला पुल के ब्रिज के बाबत कहा कि रेल ने अपने काम कर लिए हैं अब अतिक्रमण की समस्या व एप्रोच रोड बनाने का काम राज्य सरकार के हाथ है जितनी जल्द वे लोग काम करेंगे हाथी गोला ब्रिज की समस्या दूर हो जाएगी. प्रधान ने कहा कि इसमें भी छह माह का समय लग सकता है। उन्होने कहा कि खड़गपुर के मालगोदाम की ओर नया बुकिंग बनने के बाद पुराना काउंटर तोड़ दिया जाएगा व उस ओर एस्केलेटर भी लगेगा। उन्होने कहा कि घाटशिला सहित खड़गपुर रेल डिवीजन के 12 स्टेशनों में जल्द ट्रेन डिस्पले बोर्ड लगेगा जिससे यात्रियों को सुविधा होगी। प्रधान ने आशा जताया कि नए डीआरएम शुजात को विकास कार्यों के लिए लोगों का व मीडिया का सहयोग मिलता रहेगा।

कुर्मी आदिवासी आंदोलन से अकेले खड़गपुर रेल मंडल को 48 करोड़ का नुकसान 12 नामजद लोग सहित अन्य लोगों के खिलाफ प्राथमिकी दर्ज

मनोरंजन प्रधान ने बताया कि बीते दिनों खेमाशुली में चले कुर्मी आदिवासी आंदोलन से अकेले खड़गपुर रेल मंडल को 48 करोड़ का नुकसान हुआ है जबकि आद्रा मंडल में भी ट्रेने रोकी गई थी। उन्होने कहा कि कुर्मी आदिवासियों को एसटी में शामिल करने का मामले में राज्य सरकार से बात करनी चाहिए थी उकत मामला रेल से जुड़ा है ही नहीं इसके बावजूद रेल रोकने से यात्रियों सहित रेल को आर्थिक व अन्य समस्या झेलनी पडी। उन्होने कहा कि इस तरह के आंदोलन से विकास कार्य प्रभावित होते हैं। आरपीएफ के एएससी बरुण कुमार बेहरा ने बताया कि आदिवासी आंदोलन में कुल 12 लोगों के खिलाफ नामजद प्राथमिकी दर्ज हुई है जबकि कई अन्य लोगों के खिलाफ भी शिकायत हूई है हांलाकि उन्होने मामले में किसी भी गिरफ्तारी से इंकार किया।

यात्रियों की सुरक्षा व फ्रेट अर्निंग बढ़ाना मुख्य लक्ष्यः डीआरएम मो शुजात हाशमी
नवनियुक्त डीआरएम मो शुजात हाशमी ने कहबा कि यात्रियों की सुरक्षा के साथ फ्रेट अर्निंग बढ़ाना उसका मुख्य लक्ष्य है। उन्होने कहा कि इसके बाद डिवीजन में और भी क्षेत्रों की शिनाख्ती की जाएगी जहां प्रयासों स बेहतर किया जा सकता है। ज्ञात हो कि डीआरएम ने गुरुवार की शाम को ही पदभार संभाला है व बतौर डीआरएम खड़गपुर मीडिया से प्रथम बार मुखातिब हुए। ज्ञात हो कि हाशमी सन 90 बचे के आईआरएसई अधिकारी है आईआईटी रुड़की से इंजीनियरिंग डिग्री की है। वे अब तक ईस्टर्न, नार्थ ईस्टईनव नार्दर्न रेलवे सहित कई जगहों पर अपनी सेवाएं दे चुके हैं। फ्रेट रेलवे मेंटेनेंस व आपरेशन के लिए हाशमी अमेरिका, कनाडा. नार्वे व जापान का दौरा कर चुके हैं।
ई- टेंडर से हुआ रेलवे को लाभः सीनियर डीसीएम  राजेश कुमार 
खड़गपुर रेल मंडल के सीनियर डीसीएम व पीआरओ राजेश कुमार ने कहा कि बीते दो महीने से देश भर में ई टेंडर व्यवस्था चालू होने से अब दूर दराज से भी टेंडर भरे जाते हैं व रेट सभी को पता होने से ट्रांसपेरेंट भी होता है इससे खड़गपुर रेल डिवीजन ने देश भर में सबसे ज्यादा लाभ कमाए हैं। उन्होने हबताया कि खड़गपुर रेल डिवाजन को बेहतर कार्य के लिए कोलकाता में हुए 67वें रेल वीक में कुल 9 एफिसिएंसी शील्ड मिले हैं। जिसमें बेस्ट फ्रेट कारिडोर नीमपुरा, बेस्ट वर्कशाप, माडल कालोनी व हेल्थकेयर शामिल है।

Mr M.S.Hashmi is 1990 exam batch IRSE officer and has Bachelor of Engineering Degree from IIT Roorkee. He has served in Eastern, North Eastern, IRCON, DFCCIL and Northern Railway in various capacities in Open Line and
Construction Projects of Indian and Foreign Railways. He was also involved with commissioning of Dual Gauge Track
Construction Project of IRCON in Bangladesh and rehabilitation of appx 500Km track of IRCON for Sena Line of Mozambique.
While on deputation to DFCCIL, he was in charge of DFCCIL Project from Rewari to Palampur of WDFC (Appx 700 Km) commissioned in 2021-22. He has held various foreign assignments including training
on Freight Railway Maintenance and Operation in USA, Canada, Norway & Japan. He was also looking after Station Development Projects of
Northern Railway since May’2022 after his completion of deputation period in DFCCIL. Now, he has taken over as Divisional Railway Manager, S.E.Railway, Kharagpur w.e.f.
13/10/2022.

Financial performance:
 Kharagpur Division’s performance in first half of FY 2022-23(April to September) has
been impressive in all segments viz: passenger, freight, other coaching (parcel & Ticket
checking) and sundry with total revenue generation of Rs. 2104.49 Crores as compared
to Rs. 1471.49 crores during the corresponding period last year, showing an increase of
43.1%. The total gross earnings upto Sept’22 has also surpass the gross revenue during
Pre-COVID period at the same time by 30%.
 Coaching earnings upto Sept’22 is Rs. 797.94 Cr as compared to the same time of
previous year is Rs. 436.78 Cr, which is an increase of +82.7% . The division has
achieved this earning due to augmentation reserved/unreserved coaches in various
Mail/Exp trains as well as due to vigorous UTS on Mobile and ATVM campaign
to promote the passenger for sale of ticket in that mode.
 Freight /Goods earnings upto Sept’22 is Rs. 1163.70 Cr as compared to the same time
of previous year is Rs. 955.64 Cr, which is an increase of +21.8% . This has achieved
due to implementation of loading various commodities at various loading points
& disposal of proposal of Business development unit at divisional level.
 Ticket checking earning has been realized to the tune of Rs. 36Crore as compared
to the same time of previous year is Rs. 5.24 Cr, which is an increase of +584.4% .
This has achieved due to the vigorous intensive ticket checking drive conducted by
the divisional level.
 In parcel segment, the division earned revenue to the tune of Rs. 45.76 Cr , which is
66.4 % as compared to same time of last year. This has been achieved as the division
was relentlessly consulted with parcel freight customers to divert the parcel traffic
from Road to Rail.
Sr. DCM, Shri Rajesh Kumar, IRTS has congratulated the Staff of Commercial dept on
achieving the 1st position over IR in E auction earnings, he also encouraged the employees to
keep performing to achieve more better results in future. He expressed his happiness on the
positive growth trends in revenue generation and also advised his team to put their best foot
forward for better performance and to keep the flag of kharagpur division high amongst all
other divisions in Indian railways.
