RPF KGP Rescues Four Minor Children from Train No. 12703 Express

In a swift and sensitive operation, the Crime Intelligence Branch (CIB), Kharagpur team of RPF rescued four minor children from Train No. 12703 Express on 24.09.2025 during a special drive against undesirable elements.

During the drive, the team noticed four minors traveling in the general compartment in a suspicious manner. On enquiry, the children revealed that they were heading towards Bhubaneswar (Odisha) and Renigunta, Chittoor District (Andhra Pradesh) to join private employment.

On further verification and contacting their families, it was learned that the children had left their homes without parental consent in search of work. The circumstances indicated a possible case of child trafficking/child labour driven by financial inducement.

The children were safely de-boarded at Baleshwar with the assistance of on-duty RPF officers and staff of RPF Post Baleshwar. Proper intimation was given to the competent authorities as well as the Child Helpline. Subsequently, representatives of Childline/“Bachpan Bachao” Baleshwar attended RPF Post Baleshwar and, as per instructions of PC/RPF ROP, the four minors were handed over to Childline after due verification for further legal action and rehabilitation.

The alertness and prompt action of RPF/Kharagpur ensured that the children were rescued and safeguarded from potential exploitation.

सोमवार को रेलवे सुरक्षा बल (RPF) ने खड़गपुर स्टेशन पर तीन नाबालिग छात्रों को पकड़कर उनके घर भेजा। ये छात्र स्कूल में की गई शरारत व उसके बाद माता-पिता की नाराज़गी से डरकर घर से भाग गए थे।

क्या हुआ?

बताया जाता है कि ये तीनों बच्चे ओड़िशा के बालेश्वर जिले के हैं और उनके घर घटना की खबर पहुंच चुकी थी।

डर के कारण, वे सीधे बालेश्वर स्टेशन पहुँचे और वहां से ट्रेन लेकर खड़गपुर आए।

ट्रेन प्लेटफार्म संख्या 7 पर मौजूद थे, तभी RPF की नजर उन पर पड़ी और वे उन्हें पकड़ने पहुँचे।

पकड़े जाने के बाद उन्हें RPF पोस्ट पर ले जाया गया, जहां उन्हें खाना-पीना दिया गया और धीरे से उनसे बातचीत की गई।

पूछताछ में बच्चों ने बताया कि स्कूल में उन्होंने कुछ शरारत की थी और माँ-पिता की नाराज़गी का डर था, इसलिए वे भागकर घूमने निकले।

आगे की कार्रवाई:

उनकी उम्र लगभग १३ से १५ वर्ष के बीच बताई जा रही है।

बिना देरी किए, बच्चों को चाइल्ड लाइन को सौंपा गया, जिसे नियमों के अनुसार उनके परिवारों तक पहुंचाने का काम करना है।

RPF का मानना है कि यदि समय रहते उन्हें नहीं बचाया जाता, तो ये बच्चे कहीं और पहुँच सकते थे या उन्हें किसी खतरे का सामना करना पड़ सकता था।
