IIT Kharagpur rolls out Yuva Sangam Phase 3 in full swing with 50 students from Madhya Pradesh visiting West Bengal

Kolkata, 25^th November 2023:  As the nodal institute for government’s ambitious programme, IIT Kharagpur kicked off Yuva Sangam Phase 3 in its most unique panache. A delegation of 50 students from IIITDM Jabalpur and other prominent institutions of Madhya Pradesh reached IIT Kharagpur, Kolkata as a part of the cultural and educational endeavour ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat Yuva Sangam’ programme.

The delegates will explore West Bengal from 23^rd– 29^th November and through this visit, the emphasis will be on increasing participation in the cultural exchange of traditions, heritage and historical milieu between the two states. Further promotion of tourism, tradition, technology and engagement are also part of the program. The students from MP were given a warm welcome by the Yuva Sangam team of IIT Kharagpur which was followed by an interactive session wherein they exchanged details about their journey.

As part of the itinerary, the delegation explored the heritage sites at IIT Kharagpur including Nehru Museum of Science & technology, Indian Knowledge System and Bharat Tirtha. Prof. Amit Patra, Acting Director, IIT Kharagpur addressed the delegation. He remarked, “This is the first time that this kind of initiative is taken by the government to encourage cultural exchanges between two states. It is quite refreshing to see students from different background, different discipline to come together and share their experiences. Under the able guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, this initiative has created ripples in terms to promoting holistic development of students coming from different genres and places.” He mesmerized the audience by singing a song which was his original English translation, a tribute to the maestro of Bengal Rabindranath Tagore.

The team is also scheduled to will visit Rash Mancha, Jor Bangla Temple, Shyam-Rai temple, Radha Madhav Temple, Lalbandh, Dalmadal, Chhinnamasta Temple followed by a local sightseeing at Bishnupur. They will also visit Sabang, Pingla, Naya, Birsingha, Dakhineshwar Temple, Victoria Memorial, Eden Gardens, Thakurbari police museum along with Vidyasagar Industrial Park and an industrial visit to JWS Cement Factory among others.

Being the nodal officer of the programme, Prof. Bhargab Maitra, Dean Student Affairs, IIT Kharagapur stated, “We are proud as an institute to participate in such a magnanimous programme that inspires people to people connect symbolizing the rich diversity of Indian culture. The takeaways from this experience will evolve the students’ perception towards the cultural superiority of our country. In the future, as leaders they would utilize this knowledge towards nation building without losing the authenticity of our origins. Yuva Sangam Phase 3 is successfully implemented by IIT Kharagpur under the able guidance from Ministry of Education and we are humbled to be a part of it.”

This initiative has been launched after the remarkable success of the first phase of Yuva Sangam which was launched in February and concluded on a successful note witnessing an overwhelming participation of approximately 1200 youngsters visiting 22 Indian states. This was facilitated via 29 special tours where the mainstay was an exposure to the rich culture, heritage and diversity of the North-Eastern region during February-March 2023.

About ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat YuvaSangam’: An initiative by Government of India to strengthen people to people connect especially between youth belonging to North Eastern India and other States. Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat Yuva Sangam will focus on conducting exposure tours of youth and provide an immersive experience of various facets of life, development landmarks, recent achievements and youth connect in the host state. During their visits, the youth will have a multi-dimensional exposure under five broad areas – Paryatan (Tourism), Parampara (Traditions), Pragati (Development), Prodyogik (Technology) and ParasparSampark (People-to-people connect).

 

आईआईटी खड़गपुर ने मध्य प्रदेश के 50 छात्रों के पश्चिम बंगाल दौरे के साथ युवा संगम चरण 3 को पूरे जोरों पर शुरू किया है

कोलकाता, 25 नवंबर 2023: सरकार के महत्वाकांक्षी कार्यक्रम के लिए नोडल संस्थान के रूप में, आईआईटी खड़गपुर ने अपने सबसे अनोखे तरीके से युवा संगम चरण 3 की शुरुआत की। सांस्कृतिक और शैक्षिक प्रयास ‘एक भारत श्रेष्ठ भारत युवा संगम’ कार्यक्रम के एक भाग के रूप में IIITDM जबलपुर और मध्य प्रदेश के अन्य प्रमुख संस्थानों के 50 छात्रों का एक प्रतिनिधिमंडल आईआईटी खड़गपुर, कोलकाता पहुंचा।

प्रतिनिधि 23 से 29 नवंबर तक पश्चिम बंगाल का भ्रमण करेंगे और इस यात्रा के माध्यम से दोनों राज्यों के बीच परंपराओं, विरासत और ऐतिहासिक परिवेश के सांस्कृतिक आदान-प्रदान में भागीदारी बढ़ाने पर जोर दिया जाएगा। पर्यटन, परंपरा, प्रौद्योगिकी और जुड़ाव को और अधिक बढ़ावा देना भी कार्यक्रम का हिस्सा है। एमपी के छात्रों का आईआईटी खड़गपुर की युवा संगम टीम द्वारा गर्मजोशी से स्वागत किया गया, जिसके बाद एक इंटरैक्टिव सत्र हुआ जिसमें उन्होंने अपनी यात्रा के बारे में विवरणों का आदान-प्रदान किया।

यात्रा कार्यक्रम के हिस्से के रूप में, प्रतिनिधिमंडल ने आईआईटी खड़गपुर में नेहरू विज्ञान और प्रौद्योगिकी संग्रहालय, भारतीय ज्ञान प्रणाली और भारत तीर्थ सहित विरासत स्थलों का पता लगाया। आईआईटी खड़गपुर के कार्यवाहक निदेशक प्रोफेसर अमित पात्रा ने प्रतिनिधिमंडल को संबोधित किया। उन्होंने टिप्पणी की, “यह पहली बार है कि सरकार द्वारा दो राज्यों के बीच सांस्कृतिक आदान-प्रदान को प्रोत्साहित करने के लिए इस तरह की पहल की गई है। अलग-अलग पृष्ठभूमि, अलग-अलग विषयों के छात्रों को एक साथ आते और अपने अनुभव साझा करते हुए देखना काफी ताज़ा है। प्रधान मंत्री श्री नरेंद्र मोदी के कुशल मार्गदर्शन में, इस पहल ने विभिन्न शैलियों और स्थानों से आने वाले छात्रों के समग्र विकास को बढ़ावा देने के मामले में लहर पैदा की है। उन्होंने एक गीत गाकर दर्शकों को मंत्रमुग्ध कर दिया, जो उनका मूल अंग्रेजी अनुवाद था, जो बंगाल के  रवीन्द्रनाथ टैगोर को एक श्रद्धांजलि थी।

टीम का रश मंच, जोर बंगला मंदिर, श्याम-राय मंदिर, राधा माधव मंदिर, लालबंध, दलमदल, छिन्नमस्ता मंदिर का दौरा करने का भी कार्यक्रम है, जिसके बाद बिष्णुपुर में स्थानीय दर्शनीय स्थलों का दौरा किया जाएगा। वे सबंग, पिंगला, नया, बिरसिंघा, दक्षिणेश्वर मंदिर, विक्टोरिया मेमोरियल, ईडन गार्डन, ठाकुरबाड़ी पुलिस संग्रहालय के साथ-साथ विद्यासागर औद्योगिक पार्क और जेडब्ल्यूएस सीमेंट फैक्ट्री का औद्योगिक दौरा भी करेंगे।

कार्यक्रम के नोडल अधिकारी होने के नाते, प्रो. भार्गब मैत्रा, डीन स्टूडेंट अफेयर्स, आईआईटी खड़गपुर ने कहा, “एक संस्थान के रूप में हमें ऐसे भव्य कार्यक्रम में भाग लेने पर गर्व है जो भारतीय संस्कृति की समृद्ध विविधता के प्रतीक लोगों को लोगों से जुड़ने के लिए प्रेरित करता है। इस अनुभव से प्राप्त निष्कर्षों से हमारे देश की सांस्कृतिक श्रेष्ठता के प्रति छात्रों की धारणा विकसित होगी। भविष्य में, नेता के रूप में वे हमारी उत्पत्ति की प्रामाणिकता को खोए बिना राष्ट्र निर्माण के लिए इस ज्ञान का उपयोग करेंगे। युवा संगम चरण 3 को शिक्षा मंत्रालय के सक्षम मार्गदर्शन के तहत आईआईटी खड़गपुर द्वारा सफलतापूर्वक कार्यान्वित किया गया है और हम इसका हिस्सा बनने के लिए आभारी हैं।

यह पहल युवा संगम के पहले चरण की उल्लेखनीय सफलता के बाद शुरू की गई है, जिसे फरवरी में लॉन्च किया गया था और 22 भारतीय राज्यों का दौरा करने वाले लगभग 1200 युवाओं की जबरदस्त भागीदारी के साथ एक सफल नोट पर संपन्न हुआ। इसे 29 विशेष दौरों के माध्यम से सुगम बनाया गया, जहां मुख्य आधार फरवरी-मार्च 2023 के दौरान उत्तर-पूर्वी क्षेत्र की समृद्ध संस्कृति, विरासत और विविधता से परिचित होना था।

‘एक भारत श्रेष्ठ भारत युवासंगम’ के बारे में: भारत सरकार द्वारा लोगों के बीच विशेष रूप से उत्तर पूर्वी भारत और अन्य राज्यों के युवाओं के बीच जुड़ाव को मजबूत करने की एक पहल। एक भारत श्रेष्ठ भारत युवा संगम युवाओं के लिए एक्सपोजर टूर आयोजित करने पर ध्यान केंद्रित करेगा और मेजबान राज्य में जीवन के विभिन्न पहलुओं, विकास स्थलों, हाल की उपलब्धियों और युवाओं के जुड़ाव का एक व्यापक अनुभव प्रदान करेगा। अपनी यात्राओं के दौरान, युवाओं को पांच व्यापक क्षेत्रों – पर्यटन , परंपरा , प्रगति ,  प्रौद्योगिकी और परस्पर संपर्क के तहत बहुआयामी अनुभव प्राप्त होगा।
