दो टिकट दलाल गिरफ्तार, तत्काल टिकट व नगद जब्त
खड़गपुर, 05 जनवरी, 2026 :
गैर-कानूनी टिकट दलाली की गतिविधियों के खिलाफ अपनी चल रही ड्राइव के तहत, खड़गपुर डिवीजन के रेलवे प्रोटेक्शन फोर्स (RPF) ने 03 जनवरी 2026 को पैसेंजर रिज़र्वेशन सिस्टम काउंटरों पर स्पेशल निगरानी और सरप्राइज चेकिंग की, जिसके चलते पंसकुरा और रूपसा रेलवे स्टेशनों पर अलग-अलग घटनाओं में दो टिकट दलालों को गिरफ्तार किया गया।
पंसकुरा रेलवे स्टेशन
भरोसेमंद जानकारी पर कार्रवाई करते हुए, RPF पोस्ट पंसकुरा के RPF कर्मियों की एक टीम ने RPF/CIB खड़गपुर के साथ मिलकर पंसकुरा रेलवे स्टेशन पर PRS काउंटर के बाहर लगभग 12:30 बजे सरप्राइज ड्राइव और सीक्रेट वॉच की। लगभग 13:00 बजे, एक व्यक्ति को रिज़र्वेशन काउंटर के पास संदिग्ध रूप से घूमते हुए देखा गया। उस आदमी को हिरासत में लिया गया और पूछताछ करने पर उसने अपनी पहचान पश्चिम मेदिनीपुर ज़िले के रहने वाले सुजीत जाना (45 साल) के तौर पर बताई।
चेकिंग के दौरान, वह रेलवे टिकट बुक करने और बेचने के लिए कोई वैलिड अथॉरिटी या लाइसेंस नहीं दिखा सका और उसने गैर-कानूनी टिकट दलाली की एक्टिविटी में शामिल होने की बात मान ली। उसके पास से दो रेलवे जर्नी-कम-रिज़र्वेशन टिकट, भरे हुए और खाली रिक्विजिशन फ़ॉर्म, और 2,280/- रुपये कैश बरामद किए गए और उन्हें ज़ब्त कर लिया गया।
सभी कानूनी फॉर्मैलिटी पूरी करने के बाद, आरोपी को गिरफ्तार कर लिया गया और RPF पोस्ट पंसकुरा में रेलवे एक्ट की धारा 143 के तहत केस दर्ज किया गया। उसे कानूनी कार्रवाई के लिए माननीय कोर्ट भेजा जा रहा है।
रूपसा रेलवे स्टेशन
उसी दिन एक और ऑपरेशन में, रूपसा रेलवे स्टेशन के PRS काउंटर पर दलाली की एक्टिविटी के बारे में खास जानकारी मिलने पर, RPF/CIB खड़गपुर, RPF पोस्ट रूपसा और डिविजनल टास्क टीम की एक जॉइंट टीम ने PRS काउंटर पर घात लगाकर निगरानी की। ऑपरेशन के दौरान, एक आदमी को पकड़ा गया और उसकी पहचान ओडिशा के बालेश्वर जिले के रहने वाले दिलीप राउत (52 साल) के तौर पर हुई। पूछताछ में, उसने असली रेलवे किराए से ज़्यादा पैसे लेकर कमर्शियल फ़ायदे के लिए कस्टमर्स के लिए तत्काल रिज़र्वेशन टिकट बुक करने की बात मानी। वह अपनी हरकतों के सपोर्ट में कोई कानूनी सबूत नहीं दिखा पाया।
RPF टीम ने उसके पास से 4,400/- रुपये की कीमत का एक AC तत्काल रिज़र्वेशन टिकट, भरी हुई और खाली रिज़र्वेशन स्लिप, एक मोबाइल फ़ोन और 4,650/- रुपये कैश ज़ब्त किया।
कानूनी कार्रवाई के बाद, आरोपी को गिरफ्तार कर लिया गया और RPF पोस्ट रूपसा में रेलवे एक्ट, 1989 के सेक्शन 143 के तहत केस दर्ज किया गया। आरोपी को ज़ब्त किए गए सामान और ज़रूरी डॉक्यूमेंट्स के साथ आगे की कानूनी कार्रवाई के लिए माननीय कोर्ट भेज दिया गया है।
खड़गपुर डिवीजन यात्रियों से गुज़ारिश करता है कि वे बिना इजाज़त वाले एजेंट या दलालों से टिकट खरीदने से बचें और PRS काउंटर या रेलवे परिसर में किसी भी शक वाली गतिविधि की रिपोर्ट करें।
RPF Arrests Two Ticket Touts in Special Drives at Panskura and Rupsa Railw83 seeay Stations

As part of its ongoing drive against illegal ticket touting activities, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) of Kharagpur division conducted special surveillance and surprise checks at Passenger Reservation System counters on 03 January 2026, resulting in the arrest of two ticket touts in separate incidents at Panskura and Rupsa Railway Stations.
Panskura Railway Station
Acting on reliable information, a team of RPF personnel from RPF Post Panskura, along with RPF/CIB Kharagpur, conducted a surprise drive and secret watch outside the PRS counter at Panskura Railway Station from about 12:30 hrs. At around 13:00 hrs, one person was noticed moving suspiciously near the reservation counter. The individual was detained and on interrogation disclosed his identity as Sujit Jana (45 years), resident of Paschim Medinipur district.
During checking, he failed to produce any valid authority or licence for booking and selling railway tickets and admitted to indulging in illegal ticket touting activities. Two railway journey-cum-reservation tickets, filled and blank requisition forms, and cash amounting to Rs. 2,280/- were recovered from his possession and seized.
After observing all legal formalities, the accused was arrested and a case under Section 143 of the Railway Act was registered at RPF Post Panskura. He is being forwarded to the Hon’ble Court for judicial proceedings.
Rupsa Railway Station
In another operation on the same day, acting on specific intelligence regarding touting activity at the PRS counter of Rupsa Railway Station, a joint team of RPF/CIB Kharagpur, RPF Post Rupsa and Divisional Task Team conducted an ambush watch at the PRS counter. During the operation, one person was apprehended and identified as Dilip Rout (52 years), resident of Baleswar district, Odisha. On interrogation, he admitted about booking Tatkal reservation tickets for customers for commercial gain by charging extra money over and above the genuine railway fare. He failed to produce any legal authority in support of his activities.
The RPF team seized one AC Tatkal reservation ticket valued at Rs. 4,400/-, filled and blank reservation slips, one mobile phone, and cash amounting to Rs. 4,650/- from his possession.
Following due legal process, the accused was arrested and a case under Section 143 of the Railway Act, 1989 was registered at RPF Post Rupsa. The accused, along with seized articles and relevant documents, has been forwarded to the Hon’ble Court for further legal action.
Kharagpur Division urges passengers to avoid purchasing tickets through unauthorized agents or touts and to report any suspicious activities at PRS counters or railway premises.
